I feel for him, but he has to have an idea on where he stands right now. How long do you keep someone because of a loss? I lost my grandad two days before a tax deadline. I went to the funeral and then worked that night and the next day. I am sorry for him, but it can’t be used as an excuse to keep him for another year.
I'm not as confident about the floor, past coaching searches have taught me to expect the bracket we talk about here being unrealistic. It is what it is, maybe we break the cycle though.Even if you don’t want Freeze. The floor of this hire is Napier or Chadwell. I’ll take that any day of the week over keeping Pruitt. The 2022 class is a class we can’t miss on. Retaining Pruitt and having a bad season, loses those recruits and we are screwed. It could be viewed in the same light as not getting Lawrence and Etienne. We can’t afford to not lock this state up.
Who pissed people, Pruitt? The leak came from some that want Pruitt gone in the dept. Word from Trey's camp, who received/confirmed the leaks.
Forget who (AV/LA?) said it, but he definitely has pissed some people off.
I have deep sympathy for Pruitt's loss of his grandfather. It's rough to lose a loved one. But Pruitt's attitude is what really sparks most fans frustration and anger. And UT's apathy towards its fans just amps it all up to extreme levels. IF Pruitt is getting fired, we can't necessarily wait until it's convenient for his emotions. Not like he considered Brumbaugh's feelings when he fired him mid-game. Sometimes you just have to rip the band-aid off. The longer this drags on, the more convinced I am he's our coach next year.Unfortunately people here have zero sympathy or himself compassion behind a keyboard
Here’s something for you all to stew on: Pruitt hasn’t been interviewed by compliance yet.
Allow yourselves to imagine why it might be beneficial for the administration to get that interview on the books before making a decision.

Very big jump. I have no reason to lie and say I think he's a guaranteed success.I'm starting to warm up to him being a legit option but with his resume that's an awfully big jump. If absolutely no chance at Freeze I'm holding out hope that a run is made at Fleck. I'm a Harsin fan as well but he probably stays out West.
DPs comments are a sad, pathetic excuse of an attempt to save face for UTs admins who want to keep Pruitt. 100% loser mentality
We are idiots if we let Napier go to Auburn. He wants UT. I hate this administration. If Auburn hires Napier and we don’t fire Pruitt, I don’t want to hear anything about how this university cares about winning. And remember some trying to say fans don’t have much say? Please! Auburn was going to hire Steele and the fans freaked. We can do the same, it’s time to start letting them know.
