That's a constsnt rumor on AU board. They are requiring certain people stay and that is why Napier, Clark declined. Those coaches want total control, apparently (who wouldn't?). If true, Steele may still be pulling the strings it seems. Might as well just make him HC if they are going to simp that hard for him.

This is much worse than our situation, jmo. Don't see us telling anyone they have to keep Chaney (lmao) or Ansley.

An HC should always be able to bring his own guys in. Anybody in an athletic department should be sent their walking papers for doing stuff like this.

I can see us doing it. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if it hasn’t costed us candidates in the past.
