AP is saying those coaches will likely be back IF Pruitt is back. AP and Hubbs are going to assume he’s back until they’re told he’s not. Doesn’t mean they don’t think there’s a good chance he’s let go. But until he is they’re answering these questions as if he’s back.
Mayo isn't leaving the NFL. He's a highly thought of young coach in the league. An ideal coaching staff from Hugh that’s attainable (assuming Tee and Graham are retained) probably looks like
HC: Hugh Freeze
OC/OL: Matt Luke
QB: Dan Werner
RB/ST: Jay Graham
WR: Tee Martin
TE: Maurice Harris (as mentioned above with him at LU rn)
DC: Will Muschamp
DL: Chris Kiffin (currently with the Browns, no he was not on Lanes staff in ‘09)
LB: Jerod Mayo (for those who don’t know he’s with the Pats as the ILB coach)
DB: Travaris Robinson (Ex South Carolina DC)
For S&C I have no idea. He could honestly just keep the same program and bring Fitz back if that’s in the realm of possibility. Should he as horrid as the Giants have been
That’s how they always operate. Because when they do provide some info people take it as fact. If they came out and said, “we’re hearing there’s a good chance he’s let go next week but not sure of all the details just yet.” That would set off a bomb of “OMG it’s happening, Pruitts fired! Hubbs confirmed it!!!!” Then they lose their sources in the AD. Not going to happen.Smart play on their parts
Oh yeah, there’s some good ones out there. Shane Bacon and Joe Klatt did one that was amazing this past Spring. I’ve been so many times, I could host one. Lol... however, this will be our first round on the new Sheep Ranch... I played it on our first trip 7 years ago when it was just a guys yard and 13 holes so this will be pretty amazing.
They're actually going to bring back all three major pieces of Pruitt and Chaney and Ansley after one of the most horribly mismanaged seasons we have ever had.
Unbelievable.
Yeah I mean it really is mind boggling. Is it because owe him so much? That is probably the craziest thing about this whole ordeal imo. Everyone on this board knows i was strongly against Chaney from day 1 but after this year and the fact the guy doesn’t even even recruit..... why in the world would you keep him? Even if we promoted within and gave anyone else a shot at OC and just brought in another person to recruit it would make more sense. Chaney is literally just taking up space at this point.
For every outspoken ungrateful cretin there's a slew of silent appreciative readers thankful for the nuggets you and others provide. As I am one of those, I thank you for all the others that read enthusiastically and sit silent, satiated but eager for the next drop to quench our thirst. It's always refreshing to see such appreciation for info posters provide for free.
Because if the boosters who want him fired don't get their way, they're not going to pay up for a buyout for Chaney and/or Ansley. That is probably the craziest thing about this whole ordeal imo.
