I don't think there ever was a real good chance he was getting fired anyway. The investigation is not gonna turn up enough for it to matter. We've seen many times how hard it is to fire someone with cause anyway.

Fulmer stood clearly in the way of anything happening and he has just enough support for himself to not get fired, which was the only way Pruitt wasn't coming back IMO.

If matts is correct, - oh well, more money for golf and travel again this year. Silver lining thing.

The one thing I am sad and upset about is that I used to care deeply about Vol football. I even changed my number in HS to be Steve Kiner's #57, I was so inspired by him and Vol D. Living in other parts of the country part of my life before getting back to East TN, I still found ways to go to their games in K-town or on the road. Not anymore even with living here.

I will watch the games when available to do so. Want to see how big the gap gets between the Vols as bottom feeders versus the better programs. Even USCe will beat them next season. Mizzou will stomp them. That magnificent Pruitt D will be boat raced by them and others. So I see a max of 4 wins. Vandy East here we come. Set back yet another year adding to the 15 before it. Phil's legacy forever tarnished.

Or, they can do the right thing.

But I take heart in all of the dogs, guns, and horse posts. Y'all are my people. Choose joy.

At this point...this is absolutely stupid. Pruitt has zero chance of successfully turning it around now that literally everybody is pulling in different directions.

He will not survive the season...unless a unbelievable miracle happens...and we don't get miracles.

That's all I'm saying dude. It's gotten so bad that people get pissy with us when we are just tired of the ********. I've been a fan and supported this program for 18 years. Since I was 20. I've swallowed the **** sammich they have fed us and I told them I enjoy the taste. They don't care about having a proud, winning program. Because they know we won't leave. We have to just stop supporting them. It's the only way to get real change.

This could be a feeler being put out. Sort of like how Schiano was mentioned a few times to see how the backlash would be. This could be a test to see how people would react to Pruitt coming back. If the fanbase goes off the rail, it could change that decision. If we start hearing from media outlets about Pruitt likely being retained, then we need to let it be known that it isn’t acceptable.

Look Rarely I run into people that know things. I’m going to say they’re fairly accurate with their guesswork. I’ve not heard this anywhere else that I’d consider reputable..... but......I’ve heard that the joke I made about Muschamp joining the staff could become reality.

the point is, if these are the rumors it’s save to believe the university is stupid enough to not realize a change is needed

It's possible but I have to assume that by now, they are well aware that we don't want pruitt back. It's possible that they are trying to get a feel for exactly how bad the backlash will be.

It’s so unbelievably stupid that only UT could do it. And even people that will defend it deep down know that it won’t work, and that keeping him an extra year is a big missed opportunity.

Once they make it official, I’ll be taking a break from this place. Not because I’m mad, and not because of anyone disagreeing with me, but because I don’t think it’s fair to everyone else for me to mire this place in negativity.

If he wins 10 games with this roster...then he is not the horrible coach everybody thinks he is and this year was a bad aberration...and we would be idiots for wanting to get rid of him...

BUT...that isn't going to.happen..with all this toxic negativity we are going to get slaughtered early, and he won't survive to coach against Vandy.

So I rolled my 2020 season ticket money towards my 2021 season tickets. Wonder if it's too late to call up there and get a refund?

Complete clown show. These are decisions that cripple the program. Nobody gonna give a **** next year, recruiting will plummet and it's going to be more costly. **** UTs admin all the way from Boyd to Fulmer
