What if they reached out to Chavis just to coach LB's. I'd be ok with it compared to what we've had recently. He is getting long in the tooth though.

I found this interesting from an Auburn message board regarding Will Friend. Anyone read or heard similar things? Totally plausible that it could just be a positive spin on their OL hire from the AU faithful.

"Friend was extremely successful at UGA, and even at Colorado State. After Bobo was let go at CSU, Friend ended up at Tennessee, where he was not quite so successful. Word from a Tennessee staffer is that Friend was not allowed (by the Head Coach) to hold his players accountable, a recipe for disaster. "

A look at the Auburn staff so far

I vaguely remember UGA fans talking about how awful Friend was there. I'm not sure he was ever extremely successful there.

I think I can, I think I can, I think I can.....we got the little engine that could up in here. If I just keep repeating "Pruitt will be fired after the meeting" then it will happen. I just know it will. Y'all crack me up with the false confidence that you have any idea of what actually will happen 🤣
You actually missed what I was doing. I was responding to someone that kept saying he was not going to be fired. The point is NO ONE knows what is going to happen right now. Pruitt has not met with the attorneys yet.

Ive worked in that environment. HR had management by the bandsaw. Completely ineffective.

I find this very hard to believe

What has caused the concentration of great teams in college football over the last 10+ years? Why isn’t the talent more evenly spread out?
Timing, IMO. The teams riding high at that moment became the upper echelon in the eyes of recruits. There used to be Top 25 and Top 10 in their eyes. That would put s as lot more teams in relatively equal light giving parity a chance to shift things around

Now, Top 10 and 25 means little. Did you make the playoffs? The rich get richer, and good luck breaking through

Alabama
Georgia
Oklahoma
Clemson
OSU
Notre Dame

That’s it

About 5 teams have the potential to establish themselves in that group, but very little others would

If any of that is true to the findings.... he will get the hugh freeze treatment. It doesn’t matter if he’s owning up to it or not. His program, his watch.

Yep. I hope the players and recruits don't resent anyone or the school if they have to fire him. They are loyal to him and love him and their families do too, but he's just not a good head coach and they aren't being developed and they aren't winning. He's stuck in the mindset of an offense should protect the defense and not willing to adapt to the way football is being played.

Lol sounds like volnation logic when someone is trying to justify a sh!t hire

Pruitt has not broken the top 100 in total offense in any of the years he's been here. That's 2018, 2019, and 2020.

His offense is a huge joke. Again, Chaney is laughing his way to the bank.
"his". meh.

lol. it's like we forget who the QB was and what that really meant to us and offensive play....

but, whatev, i's gots narratives to serve.................

Fulmer and Steele both stabbed people in the back to try to get a head coaching job. Steele wasn't successful. No coincidence those 2 are good buddies. They're one in the same and only out for themselves.

This is a little harsh. It was clear that the players were responding better to Fulmer when he was interim under Majors and then the next 9 years proved he was better.

I don't think anyone truly knows what happened with Auburn, but if the offense was better, there is really not an issue.

Brumbaugh was partly fired for not holding players accountable, so i doubt it.

What if they actually hired steele to get close to pruitt and catch him in the act of commiting violations that could be worthy of firing him? Then they plan to insert steele as head coach and hire chadwell as OC and hire an actual clone of saban as DC? Could be possible that folks at nasa have been working with fulmer since November, trying to clone saban or insert a football computer into Steele's brain.
