So it’s thought that someone from within the UT family turned them in for allegations?!
What would be the motive behind that?

Curious if we are going to do what Arkansas did after Petrino. Interim for a year

It would give Steele a chance to earn the job without commitment to him and save assistant buyouts. Gauge interest for the following year from other coaches

I hate this idea

That would kill the 22 recruiting class

I think he is biggest mistake since being here is missing on an elite QB..... neither JT Shrout or Maurer are good enough..... I feel like Harrison Bailey has a chance to be really good though..... I’m curious to see if the offense will look different if we have a full off season to prepare.
This is absolutely the biggest miss! Shrout and Maurer are talented, but their ceilings were always very low.

Recruiting an elite QB usually takes time (i.e. more than 6 months) unless your HC is a former elite OC or known as a QB guru, which Pruitt is neither of those obviously. We have seen the ability to land MUCH better talent the last two years after having time to build relationships.

I have a hard time with the Chadwell being the HC and UT having already hired both Steele and Gardner. Understand, I do not have a problem with it if it really happened that way but my question would be, does Chadwell even know these guys? Now, of course it is possible they have already talked with Chadwell and maybe he is ok with it, I just don't think any HC would want their staff picked for them. Wasn't that some of the problem when Auburn was hiring? Trying to get the HC to come with Steele and Gardner still on staff? I think if Gardner comes it would be Marrone as HC and they are in communication with him about this. Just throwing this out there and no I am not promoting Marrone.
We hired garner?
