I stand by my original post....Any player from a 3-7 team that doesn't want to be here, then bye-bye.
lol

Cade Mays was on a 3-7 team
And for two years choose Georgia over tenn.

You are a hypocrite for wanting
Him on your team but not henryT whom we will need to rerecruit when Pruitt leaves
Any player on a 3-7 team that doesn't want to be here, then bye-bye.
but they can’t change their like Cade
Did ?

I mean a kid that changes their mind in a week is better than one that takes 2 years I’d say
Any player on a 3-7 team that doesn't want to be here, then bye-bye.
I’m glad Cade is on our team Sorry you aren’t

Ok so you and I agree

As long as they change their minds and want to be here we want them. That’s why we want Cade

I agree any kid that doesn’t want to be here and continues that doesn’t need to be here
Any player on a 3-7 team that doesn't want to be here, then bye-bye.

It's like that lonely kid down the street just bouncing a ball off a wall by himself and convincing himself it's a competitive game.

Travis Stephens 1st team AA is senior season. Holds the single season UT rushing record.

Ty Chandler - Lost his starting job as a Senior.

Chandler comparable to Stephens ?

Over their careers at UT? Absolutely!
The stats provided tell the story.

The biggest difference is what their teams accomplished which I mentioned earlier. Stephens played with much better players that won a lot more games.

Don't want in this - but which offense was better and which O-line would you rather run behind?

Personally, I don't see how players of different eras of football can be compared.

Carry on.

In 20 years, UT football has gone from being the captain of the pickup game who picks first, to being the last nerd chosen to be on a team. How the mighty have fallen. Just thinking about it reminds me of the gut-punch feeling I got watching the '97 Heisman presentation right after the president of the Downtown Athletic club opened that envelope and said, "And the winner......from Michigan."

Stephens career stats were kept in check because he played in the same backfield as Shawn Bryson, Jamaal Lewis and Travis Henry. I watched both. Again how can one argue that losing Stephens , an All American is comparable to losing an barely average 2nd string Rb? E2C65E21-B765-47D4-9899-B21ACAD54F5A.gif

I know Wanya seems like a loss but he’s been average at best to this point. Not an immediate impact beast like I had hoped. He had a rough year imo
Still a big loss. All he needs is coaching. Has all the tools. I think we have tons of untapped talent all over the place. We’re ready to take off with competent coaching. Jmo

That was such an awesome group of RBs.

The portal should allow us to plug a couple spots in regards to depth at very least. And who knows, maybe Wanye leaving will give pause to Morris' decision? Too many moving parts, which has been the issue all along. We just need this roller coaster to stop so we can collect our bearings and move forward. Hiring coaches (assistant and maybe HC), and solidifying the roster as best we can for the 2021 season.
If their not grad transfers, it won't matter. Regular transfers will have to sit for a year.

Sure you can compare players of different eras. You just adjust for differences in the style of the game and you can even adjust for the teams overall talent the players played on. It’s like comparing Jalen Hurd to a Reggie Cobb or a Peerless Price to a Willie Gault.
