Let me clarify...it’s odd that UT randomly shared and announced that kind of information.I’ve never seen them or any other university come out and say that a particular players financial aid has been terminated just because Hes entered the portal.I’ve not seen them announce those details for other players that have entered

To be fair, Syracuse left the Big East the year Marrone left and joined a much tougher conf (ACC). Syracuse also had a 10-win season in 2018 under Babers, but went 1-10 this season.

In addition to Marrone’s two 8-win seasons, he also had a 4-win and a 5-win season.

the issue with that thinking is if we fire Pruitt tomorrow the next coach unless he’s hired immediately wouldn’t even get a chance to make such a pitch

that’s why I think this needs to wait another week. Get these players in classes so they have to stay this semester and let the new coach have plenty of time

We have 18 in the portal now and Pruitt is still the coach. I’m sure we didn’t want any of them anyway. If we bring in a solid head coach and staff, players will stay and we’ll get guys that wouldn’t have come here otherwise.

Lol! Their careers are not remotely the same. Stephens played behind arguably the two most talented backs in UT history in Henry and Lewis. Stephens, I believe set the UT single year rushing record his last year here. Chandler lost his job to a younger player. Stephens was fast and shifty and could make people miss. Chandler was fast and not shifty. He never created yards on his own when the blocking was subpar.

Stephens career stats -
488 carries - 2386 yrds - 4.8 a carry
27 catches - 200 yrds
Total yds from scrimmage 2536
Kick returns 10 - 225 - 22.5 avg

Chandler career stats -
421 carries - 2046 yrds - 4.9 a carry
58 catches - 465 yards
Total yrds from scrimmage 2511
Kick returns 35 - 780 - 22.3 avg

Stephens touched the football 525 times during his career (runs, catches, returns) producing 2811 total yards and 22 tds.
Ty touched it 514 times during his career producing 3291 yards and 17 tds.

So you are incorrect.
Travis was a very good back. Ty was as well and didn't have the benefit of solid QB play and good OLs to run behind.

Their careers are viewed differently because of their teams success. Not what they produced when given the opportunity.

I joined Tony’s T club monthly donation thing just for what that man does for Roger. Very selfless to let Roger basically come on and have his own segment every day and it really is entertaining. Roger has developed a ton of real friendships with others through participating in Tony’s program and going to watch parties.
just something to think about for the people that like to disparage Tony on here all the time.

Good for you---now go tell Tony how southerners talk. He's been in the south long enough to pick up the accent.
