I want to believe so badly that our UTAD is working behind the scenes and has a coach lined up ready to go and making back door agreements with Steele and Brooks to come on board before he is officially hired..... BUT

I don’t think anyone - even people who really dislike Pruitt - would argue he’s a bad football coach.

He’s a bad head coach and program leader.

Quite honestly, given how the defense played this year, I have started to question his defensive chops too.

He probably has a very advanced, technical understanding of Xs and Os defensive football, but I'm not sure how good of a teacher he is. I have no doubt that he understands it really well himself, but I wonder if he has trouble communicating his knowledge to others. Guys routinely lined up incorrectly, out of position, talking about how the defense is "really complicated," etc.

It’s about writing a candidate off before he ever even puts on a whistle. Our fan base ignored SO MANY red flags with Pruitt both before he was hired and up until really this year. Hell some people like AP are still making excuses for the cat.

Whoever the next coach is, deserves that

What red flags? You hated the guy before he ever got here, yet you still carry water for Botch boy from time to time and he is a X&O idiot jerk that doesn't know a football from his ass, and has a slimy personality on top of that.

To be fair, which you will never be toward him for some reason,...Pruitt never really had a chance imo. He was handed the worst team and program in our history as a first time HC and we were never going to give him the patience to overcome mistakes made along the way. He has to go now due to this becoming such a toxic cesspool, but it didn't have to be this way.

Did UT make a real push for Jimbo? I know A&M has a lot of money. I feel like Jimbo could have been a big catch for Tennessee and I never really heard any news back then about Tennessee really making a strong effort.
