Is Pruitt not the head coach?I think that's what it comes down to, comfort and control. Fulmer doesn't want to make the same mistake that got him fired in 08 with the Clawson hire. He'll stick to what he's comfortable with and can control. It's why Freeze will never be a coach here with Fulmer as AD.
Things won't change with the offense unless the guy at the top changes his ideaology. I do think to a point Chaney was handcuffed to JG, but at the end of the day Pruitt is a defensive minded coach and he will never run a wide open offense.well, you can do that when you have talent.
i do think with us bringing in salter and HH, there may be some hope for us having a bit more dynamic of an offense, scheme wise, than just letting a drop back passer get destroyed in the pocket.
not sure what the means for HB, cause i think he can be really good here, but i do like that we're going to have some options going forward.
we'll see what happens.
Admin has been completely inept this entire time
Sounds like Jeremy is rubbing off on themPrice and Hyams are like peas and carrots.....

I can't argue this depressing yet illogically logical logic (say that three times real fast)..honestly, i'm almost glad i don't have to watch us trot out coach mcgoogle and watch us start over, again, and fail, again.
at least this time, we're actually doing the contrary thing. siap a while back....whatever it is we have normally done in this situation (that got us the likes of dooley, jones and pruitt), we should do the exact opposite.
well....i give you jeremy pruitt in season 4 as the exact opposite.
there's your ray of sunshine today.
Rejoice at 8 winsRejoice. What is wrong with you. You have PDS, Pruitt Derangement Syndrome.
I think is definitely a big defining moment for this program... Not being sarcastic, I truly think UT has fallen so far that until there is a completely new Admin and AD, this program will stay at the bottom of the SEC and continue to be irrelevant and flounder, while other traditionally lesser programs and current elite ones continue to work and rise (**see KY and OM). At this rate, we are going to blink and in two seasons, UT football will be an afterthought. It will truly be interesting to see if fans blindly continue to show up, support, and dish out hard earned money like sheep/robots while the UT Admin sits back and laughs... As long as JP is HC, this program will continue to fall. Elite and UT will not be used in the same sentence for a very long time, if ever at this point.
forgot to mention....
we'd immediately be looking at that 22 class and how we closed there. he wins 8 or 9 games and closes that class strong...i think you could move forward w/no problems, at least in terms of having an issue with retaining him due to performance issues.
the problem for him is his margin for error is thin....really thin.
he'll always be 1 bad loss away from a "see told ya".....
Buddy choose logic.Rejoice at 8 wins. Damn they really got some of y'all.
They told Pruitt don't go to Tennessee. The expectations for year 4 in Tennessee can't be reduced.
"Nay!" said Pruitt. "I will be so bad in year 3 they will treat by first 8 win season in half of a decade as a national championship!"
