Started a new contract job today working these PPP business loans...of course it's a bit hectic with them being still fairly new and now the government authorizing a 2nd round of them for Corona relief....so 5 minutes into training they are talking about how things are changing day to day right now...the trainer said the word of the month will be "fluid".

I'm sitting there like

I get that but why were 2 planes going to the same location for half of the day. I dont think its a coincidence that they both were in knox, auburn and then concord.
Social distancing, because they didn't want to put too many people in a confined space? IDK seems about how smart UT is

1. I don't hate Chaney like some, but hes not a guy that's going to bring us into the 21 century, if we are going to change he needs to go.
2. The story on Fulmer has been he wants to run the ball and play good defense, I don't think he's magically going to change his philosophy.
3. Pruitt can say what he wants, but for 3 years we have been running a very un dynamic, marginally explosive offense at best.
1.Chaney can run whatever offense that best suits the personnel, we've seen him do different things at different stops.
2.fulmer is not the HC, and pruitt doesn't strike me as the type that would just walk out on the practice field and be like "welp, the big guy wants more a and b gap runs, so...let's go"
3.not really gonna argue here, but the QB position is the single biggest issue with this. very, very limited offensively as a result.

Fulmer’s mindset is still stuck in the 90’s which is exactly why he wants to keep Pruitt.

Defense no longer wins games. If you don’t have an great offense that score points to keep up with the opposing team, you’re getting blown out.

I understand Fulmer won a National Championship but that was then. This is now.

You right after he said that.

What would you say if I told you that Pruitt, who's not a good HC, is not the real problem?

What would you say if I told you firing or keeping him will not fix the problem in the long run?

What would you say if I told you....

Butch didn't lose to Ga State, Byu, go 3-7, lose by double digits in 7 games or lose to KY 34-7 at home. Your point? Pruitt has way more negatives on the field in 3 years than butch had in 5. Thats saying something. 😂
eh. i'll say different negatives. not necessarily more or worse or less.
neither were, or have been, good....for different reasons. there are things i think Butch did better than pruitt, and there are things i think pruitt has done better than jones.

truthfully, if you could take the best aspects of both, you probably have the makings of a pretty decent football coach. individually....disasters.

1. To a point maybe but I am sure there are nuances to the modern spread that Chaney has no clue about
2. Its been reported that Fulmer spends most of his time in the football building, and gives his advice. Fulmer also said he wants a defensive minded HC when he hired Pruitt. Its also been mentioned that if Pruitt were to be let go, Fulmer wants a run first offense. Maybe Fulmer doesn't point out specific plays, but he definitely picked a coach with a certain philosophy and isn't going to encourage him to change.

Phil after Pruitt gets back and tells him To'oTo'o said no, told him he had three too many chins, and to get out of his house

Still think he is getting fired? I’m at 99% he stays. I have crow in the freezer.
I'm not sure one way or the other, I'm hopeful he gets fires but who knows. The damage is irreparable at this point, next year will be terrible regardless of the coach and I'm talking 3-9, 4-8 type year

picking a coach because you share similar philosophies is one thing, but saying we run the offense b/c fulmer wants it run that way is another. i think fulmer has a big ego. i think fulmer probably is around more than most AD's are in regards to football. and i think fulmer and jeremy have probably had many a conversation about running the program etc...

i do not think fulmer is dictating how the offense should be run/called or otherwise directed.

pretty sure chaney was running spread at a couple of his stops.............i wouldn't put much in to the notion that he has "no clue"....

My point with that statement is tho, Fulmer isn't just going to up and encourage Pruitt to change his offense. And the chances of Pruitt just deciding to do it on his own is very slim to none. If Pruitt just beings doing things his bosses don't like, that just accelerates his timeline.
Which Chaney offense was a spread? The outdated Pitt and Purdue ones or UGA (no), Ark(no), Tn(no)?
