Had to cancel trip to Emerald Bay, Bahamas in March. Thinking of going to Destin, never been. Is the first of March a good time to go? Best places to stay?
We book through VRBO and usually stay in Destin, PCB, or Ft. Walton. Ft. Walton is a little less hectic, and is close enough to Destin to go shopping or eat out. If you have small kids Destin West is a good choice. If you want to be less crowded, Santa Rosa Blvd. has some nice condos. Good luck! Also, the Swoop 2 is a fun fishing charter.

No, the problem was bringing in outside counsel to run a deep investigation. That takes time. When you turn things over to legal, you follow their process on their timeline.

They have a decision. They made it months ago. The investigation had the potential to change the decision. But they never needed that. Any coach on staff can be fired at any time, regardless of findings. They could have cleaned house in November and moved forward with a clean slate. That was not their decision. They could start firing next week or the week after or the week after that.

UT is moving forward. Fans and media continue to speculate while UT goes about business. The coaches are recruiting, in addition to having to re-recruit our own players. And some of them want to be re-recruited like they're a prize recruit. It's ridiculous. But you reap what you sow. And now we're reaping.
So if I’m reading this correctly, the administration has decided to bring Pruitt back? Then they really need to put something out there public saying that because this has all gone far beyond our message board bubble.

Do you foresee any changes on the offensive side of the ball? Coaching/scheme wise, not necessarily roster.

Makes sense... while I think it would be helpful for the entire situation for CJP or Fulmer to send some type of public message, they really have done just what you detailed:
- first a pretty definite statement from Fulmer staying bowl prep would give Pruitt and our team a good start on spring practice and next year... after the season and “investigation”
- we’ve continued to recruit, take transfers, walk-on...
- hired a defensive coach even after media advertised a hiring freeze, building a blatantly false frenzy about Pruitts time being short, commented on by Pruitt and comments by Steele about looking forward to working with Pruitt.
- hired assistant S&C coach, would never add to staff at that level without knowing Pruitt is still here.
Media has done anything but report actual news but has worked merely off speculation and rumor.
It’s our fault as fans for buying into the bs cause maybe we wanted a different direction.

True fans have to stick together and cheer on the vols. Not hope for the worst just because we don’t like the head football coach who’s working his rear end off for this football program.
I understand the frustration but I will never hope we fail.... lose recruits.... transfers..... or not be there to support the Vols if I am able to be there.

Can't wait to see these **** ass ticket sales this fall for football, going to be laughable.
In a normal year I’d agree.. if this pandemic is still around, they’ll sell out their 25% capacity because Bae needs her selfie in Neyland for the Insta and Grandpa “hasn’t missed a game in 50 years”...

Then current and potential players need to be made aware that he's definitely returning because the uncertainty they feel about it is absolutely hurting us.

The coaches and Fulmer have talked to the players. Pruitt had players over to his house with his family. Steele will wave the banner at the team meeting. But there's a tremendous amount of noise around the program.

Things can always change. There are few absolutes. Something could come to light tomorrow. Pruitt could decide he wants out, after all. Boyd could decide he's had enough. A pivot point could arise out of nowhere. Until then, UT goes on as UT is going on.

Sounds about right.

I’ve been frustrated as well. Who wouldn’t be after a 3-7 season? I truly believe corona had a major impact on the development of this football program as a whole. The trajectory of the program after Pruitt’s first two years was upward. Let’s add a couple key pieces to the staff in Steele and Garner, have solid quarterback play, bring in another solid recruiting class, and let the chips fall where they may next season. I happen to think a lot of people will be pleasantly surprised with how next season turns out.

To get to the level we want to be.... we have to get the school, administration, academic side, the city and everyone going in the same direction..... get solid football players with a few stars sprinkled and when we reach a certain level.... 5* will be dying to come here.
I wish that we could get a 100% honest assessment of where Knoxville/UT are compared to Tuscaloosa/UA. From school, to boosters, to city, to businesses, to legal, police, media... etc etc

I'd love to see him grade each other out. A true gap analysis. Obviously we would never get that but it would be the best money that we could spend.

no, they don't. if nothing is being done, what are they supposed to do? stand up at a press conference and say "we're here just to let you know nothing has changed, questions?"

fulmer made a statement in the bowl release about pruitt and what the bowl would mean for him going in to 21. remember how that was received?

lol. nothing has changed, therefore, there's no need to update anyone about it. because we've made up i think 3 searches in the last 2 months, fired everyone, maybe even fired a couple of the guys we faux hired in the process, is not a reason to get up in front of anyone and say anything.

we're mad b/c the university won't tell us something about something we've made up.....and all they'd do is make you madder b/c he's probably not going anywhere right now.

they're just getting up and going to work every day. meanwhile, we're all like...
