Yeah, my uncle's place is really roughing it. Very little in the form of restaurants and grocery stores. To eat you have to catch it. Not hard though. In about an hour you can have a week's worth. Fish, conch, lobster.

Steele can absolutely fix the defense when Pruitt gives him full control over it. And at that point I can sprout wings out of my ass and fly south for the winter.

Meanwhile in real life, we now have 2 DC's for Pruitt to micromanage instead of 1.

As far as the culture... Everyone is hoping for addition by subtraction. I've seen it year after year. It never ever works out. You don't lose a bunch of players and coaches by their own choosing to leave, and then get better. I have never seen that work out... Ever.

With Charles Huff becoming Marshall's coach that gives another opening on Alabama's staff for Pruitt. Looking back, I think Huff was an underrated hire that Pruitt missed once he left.

Pruitt is the coach until he is not the coach. Every single supposed insider has said this from TB to AP.

Pruitt doing coach like things does not mean anything. When Niedermeyer is **** canned or his Contract officially expires, and when more light is shed on the investigation findings, then we will know. That isn't a resounding claim that Pruitt is getting fired.

I disagree. Ansley had never been a DC before. Steele is a veteran DC. I don't think it's the same. I don't see Pruitt micromanaging Steele. Also, VQ has repeatedly said that Pruitt hasn't micromanaged Chaney, so I'm not sure the micromanaging reputation is legit. It may be, but I don't know.

As for the culture, Im not talking about addition by subtraction. I'm talking about these young players, these covid freshmen taking a bigger role, Bailey, Key, and some of these guys who didn't play much last year. Salter coming in also is bringing some juice. Then you have Hooker. That's new leadership on the team. Also, if you go back to 2019, the culture was in great shape. Maybe it was Jennings, Bituli and the boys, I don't know. But this is a team that didn't quit after the awful start and a team that had a chance to beat Bama. If JG doesn't go rogue they may have won the game. Even the OL was pushing Bama's DL down the field last year. I don't know where that went, but if he can get it back, he can turn things around. At least in some ways idk.

Not necessarily. Timing and other external scenarios at play (coaches bring offered at other programs, NFL teams still playing, etc.) are why staff positions haven’t been filled, outside of the fact that there was a hiring freeze. I don’t know that the Steele hire ended that. I haven’t seen that stated so I can’t speak in certainty on that.

Never said it didn’t help but I won’t go and get it and walk around like I can’t. That’s just silly.

People get the flu shot and still get the flu. Whether it be their own luck or whatever they still get it.
