My mind hasn’t changed since the end of the season. It’s Freeze then everybody else. But it won’t happen.

Pruitt and 6-6 with the apologists out in full force incoming for next season. We won’t even sniff the big three and we will drop at least 2 of the middle of the pack conference teams.

Better to just accept it now and maybe be surprised.

His 1st decent qb in 3 years as a HC and pulled him for a kid that transferred at the end of the season. Glad he gave JT reps. JP is a joke
He is a true freshman with no off season... Pruitt is trying to get him ready while still trying to win games....Baileys family seems ok with the way he has been used so far.

HB is a true freshman with no off season.... even Peyton struggled a little and he had the off season to prepare.... Bailey showed a lot of potential.
That's not the point. The original point made was the offense was 1 QB's fault. Yet we tried multiple guys. 3 Elite 11 guys on the roster.

Missouri brought in a nobody freshman QB and did just fine.

Excuses.

HB did show some positives...but he was also fumbling twice a game and getting picked off too. Took way too many sacks. 3rd down rate dipped under him as well. Offense still stunk no matter who was behind center. The idea that some QB was going to save Chaney and Weinke and cover up their lack of scheme and development is not reality, as we saw with our own eyes.

Only because we have an incompetent AD. It should've cost him his job. But our admin is dumb
Which way is better? Constantly firing every three years and revamping the roster or allowing this coach to grow and build the roster? A big part of our issue this season was the covid protocols at our university....I feel he deserved a fourth year but was ok with replacing him..... not like this though.

The swift and absolute meltdown of this place will be beyond words. And make no mistake, if Pruitt is able to turn this around, he gone...first chance he gets.
Is he the long-term solution?

Constant staff turnover, tension now with admin and higher ups, no offense, micromanagement, poor development, poor as a ceo, not an offensive guy at all, and now his defense lacks doing just the basics without Butch's leftover veteran leaders, poor culture, and so on.

If he's not the long-term answer, then who cares if he leaves?

(Btw didn't LA say a month or two ago people in admin didn't believe he would be a long-term winner here and neither did Pruitt? Maybe it wasn't LA, but someone mentioned this along with the "he'd run back to Saban" stuff).

A steady rebuild with a guy who deserves it yes. Pruitt is only getting a 4th year because we have an inexperienced AD who jumped the gun on an extension he didn't deserve. The COVID excuse is just that an excuse. The team got worse, the more they got coached.
