So, pretty much every hire we make, ends up being an off the wall name the fans haven't mentioned.
Therefore, its Gundy we hadn't talked much about him this time.
Bring in the Mullett.

And at this point I'm not sure what decision I'd make if I were in the Chancellor's shoes. The LotM will always be unhappy with anything short of hiring Saban or Meyers, but if we are facing sanctions that prevent any real chance of major success, competence and reduced drama may be the best we can hope for. An elder statesman might be the best hope for a few years of stability, after which a splash hire might be possible and more effective.

I’d be fine with Gundy but he’s used us for a raise twice now.

Don’t see it happening.

more proof Pruitt didn't know what he was doing on defense... seriously, this can't be made any clearer... Our defense and it's players regressed every year-- JP was and is, only successful coaching loaded 4-5* rosters. Someone show me where he's ever done more with less?

I'm not saying our boosters want Steele. I'm saying we have boosters whose wallets are much bigger than their brains. Especially the part of their brain responsible for football coach selection.

Plainview HS...maybe? Even his high school teams (Fort Payne, and especially Hoover) were loaded.
