BOB was a bad Gm
A very good coach
And did a great job with penn state in crisis.
That’s the most important part to this
If there's a doctor in here, please get Bob a prescription for Prozac. It appears he's still hearing chatterBob Vols:
Kiffin has told former Tennessee players that played for him that he would come back.
I know Kiffin still speaks with members of the Haslam family or so I was told by a VFL. I think it depends on the AD hire. Ultimately I would have to see it to believe it but i don’t think it’s impossible.
Agreed, but remember a college head coach is basically a GM. The AD at a college is more like an NFL team president or owner.I'll take this in order.
1) BOB was a bad GM --> Correct! He was in fact horrible, and he demanded control of his organization while coaching at the same time. I don't think TN needs that type of leadership. We need a GM (AD) and HC separate. So NO to BOB.
2) BOB is a very good coach --> Debatable! I think he is an okay coach. Not a very good coach. I think his 15-9 record at Penn State during the scandal is given too much praise. He didn't win many games of merit, and I don't see him being the long term solution. Do we really need a guy that comes in for 2-3 years to stabilize and the upgrade AGAIN to get the guy who can win championships? No, we need someone who can do both.
No it’s not. You just keep telling yourself that to the point that you believe it.I don't want Gus. There are better candidates who want the job, the question is, will UT hire them. As I said earlier, there are at least 3 who want the job who are great hires that UT won't touch: Freeze, Kiffin, and probably Herman due to his reputation with boosters and Texas staffers.
At this point, I'm hoping for Chadwell or someone out of left field we're not talking about who wants this job. Because right now it is looking like Steele
