See Hyams/Brohm. We’re on THEIR timeline.@Atlanta VOL IF the AD search is over, what possible reason could there be to not announce NOW?
Hopeful? Always... depends on definition of good.. I think Herman is realistically our best chance.. Kiffin-no.. Freeze-no... Herman or Chadwell with a good SEC staff to help(Steele and Garner) would be good hires IMO.. but it’s Tennessee so again, we will see. Needs to happen quick before those options back outAny info or thoughts on where they might be going? Are you hopeful for a good hire?
lol, right. its not like they were starters on an already bad team.
their backups ARE SO MUCH BETTER.
i get annoyed when people say losing these guys doesnt matter.
It matters. It ****ing matters.
I've always said we bend over for the NCAA.If the NCAA hammers UT, it's because our Chancellor handed them far more than they would have ever found on their own. The NCAA is understaffed, overburdened and lacks the manpower to dig deep and cast a wide net. They're set up to enforce, not investigate, and have a huge backlog that lets a lot of things slide under the radar. But when you serve up your transgressions on a silver platter, with all the evidence organized and triple-checked, the NCAA tends to look a lot closer and make you a higher priority. If you really want to pique their interest, you invite NCAA reps to ZOOM in on meetings where you present evidence that nails you, followed by a presser where leadership emphasizes how serious, shocking and widespread your violations are.
Other schools avoid, delay, divert and deny deny deny, forcing the NCAA to allocate resources they don't have to prove things that take a lot of time, effort and evidence to prove, which the NCAA isn't all that keen to do. All while the school continues to do what they do. See LSU, Auburn, Bama, UGA, etc. etc.
Me either, but I believe this is the “cleansing” the program has needed for a while.Agreer but I haven't seen it like this.
What we are experiencing is the true and complete death of a program.
Im fine with Herman or Chadwell. I think the Chadwell fit may be worth the added risk with a very high ceiling. With the Def. staff Steele can put together we may have something to build with.Hopeful? Always... depends on definition of good.. I think Herman is realistically our best chance.. Kiffin-no.. I really feel like you think the Chancellor is not very smart. If she wanted to do things The Right Way with the integrity and principles she advocates, she could have fired cleanly in Nov/Dec and vetted and hired behind the scenes while quietly conducting an in-house investigation. Most schools manage to conduct business without a drawn-out spectacle, and it generally works out a lot better for them.
It just has to be a serious hire or this program will never be back.Me either, but I believe this is the “cleansing” the program has needed for a while.
The fans kept kidding themselves that Tennessee was “back” with every mediocre hire and decent recruiting class, but the truth was that because of University leadership nobody felt confident.
It seems as though the leadership is on the same page. The President and Chancellor are aligned....they’ll hire their AD....who can then hire their coach. Nobody will be inheriting anyone.
This feels like little girls trying to strike back at someone for coming after their own. These kids definitely ain’t here to give their all for Tennessee. Which begs the question if they were here for the love of Pruitt or the love of the money under the table. This points to a serious culture problem that Pruitt was too incompetent to overcome.
It’s kinda dumb to enter the transfer portal when you are the clear starter on an SEC roster. Their future is bright if they stayed here.
