We just sent this program to new depths (not to mention possible sabotaging the entire AD), and many of you seem to still think this is a win.

I hate to say this, but you have to reach rock bottom to build back up. Most don’t have patience, but they can make a good hire and pay money to get this thing going eventually. It just takes good decisions.

Bump for personal use.

****At 4:00, we got 5 tons of rock that had to be spread (by hand), we made it to church at 7:00, and now we're at basketball practice. And you all hung 50 pages on this thread in 5 hours! I'm just wanting to read the Stoerner post again, when I get caught up.

******
I do have 1 question, have we hired an AD yet?

If its not Steele, why would he be picking staff. lol
I can see him being allowed to make defensive coaching hires.

I think he will be forced on the next coach as the DC and Plowman is allowing him to fill his side of the ball.

If he starts making offensive hires then.......

that’s really not accurate.
We have no idea what their eligibility is going to be. Even if they got benefits they can repay them and serve a short suspension.

I don’t get why people read a post and run with it as truth. We have no idea folks
AJ Green got four games for selling his own jersey. Idk... Seems like they'd have a hefty suspension

I have been trying to tell them...

She could have fixed this a month ago. Pay his buyout before Trey Wallace reports, don’t self investigate, and act ignorant with the NCAA until they run out of resources again.

So now, instead of $12M and a good coaching search, we have napalmed the program, will endure another lawsuit, no good coach candidates, the Haslams in charge and have Kevin Steele begging our best guys to stay.

☄️💥🔥

Program needs a good bowel movement. That includes malcontent, selfish players, too. Everytime we went in somewhere to build a HS program the best thing that happened was graduation. Roll with the young guys, the fresh faces, the ones that are hungry and don't have a built in sense of comfort and entitlement. We all need to hang tough for a few weeks and let the toilet finish flushing. Hire the right coach and the transfer portal opens both ways.
They been giving me the shites for a good decade lmao

There has been no hint from the administration he’s got a chance to get the head job and without that he doesn’t have any chance to get kids to listen

The best chance for keeping kids here before the new coach was hired was fulmer. He had a chance to calm the emotions and make the players feel like he had a plan. Obviously that didn’t happen and when it didn’t we are just buying time until the head coach is hired

I’m just saying it’s not going well. His only real selling point for being permanent head coach was that he kept this thing afloat in rough waters. That’s quickly evaporating.

I honestly hope he goes to another program, starts at running back and kills it. It would make Pruitt look even stupider then he already does.
I was really disappointed with Crouch. Not sure if it was Pruitt and staff or that he just wasn't as talented as the recruiting services thought

I decided to make a graph of salaries versus this last season's Sagarin rating.

Basically, those on the right side of the point cloud are those that are underpaid relative to how well they did last year.

Lot of familiar names that we've batted around, but this gives you a way to visualize how much of steal Chadwell, Liepold, Fickell, and Campbell are.

And you can see that UT basically got what it paid for, a coach drawing a middle of the pack salary pulling down meh results. This tells me that he must have been a regal prick and the violations substantial for them to pull the plug, because the admin basically could have written this season off as a fluke because of COVID and the SEC schedule.

Also, how annoyed would you be if you were a Michigan fan?

Edit: Added Louisiana/Napier

The worst part of this is, even as we're completely falling apart, we have no idea what the NCAA will attempt to do to us. I'm with those that say tell 'em to screw off when you see programs like Miami, UNC, LSU, and Auburn who have been caught dead to rights and nothing has happened to them.
