No but it means they are elite at something. Every person it seems that garners interest from nfl in college is. Unless you’re hiring someone that has won a national title, they are all pretty much the same risk. I don’t believe that even Campbell, fleck, Fickell, or whoever is any more or less likely to succeed as a HC here than tony Elliot. I’m looking more at the person than their resumes.
I think you should post that fist again. I believe that more accurately reflects your reasoning tbh
"Mississippi has the highest adult obesity rate at 40.8%, and Colorado and DC have the lowest at 23.8%. Between 2018 and 2019, the adult obesity rate increased in Michigan and Pennsylvania, decreased in Florida, and remained stable in the rest of states and D.C."I think he’s talking about that Mississippi guy that got chubby.
Can you give your reasoning? Napier doesn't want this job, but he inherited a 5-7 program and wentWould rather have Elliot than Napier
Napier is a Saban type that wants total control. We tried that with PruittCan you give your reasoning? Napier doesn't want this job, but he inherited a 5-7 program and went

Both are offensive minds and only 41 years old. You may believe Elliott is a better offensive mind but Napier has had serious success as a G5 HC.
Napier’s personality is putrid. That’s a huge red flag for a head coach. SC interviewed him and decided not to offer. AU also backed away. He would probably be the worst hire we could makeCan you give your reasoning? Napier doesn't want this job, but he inherited a 5-7 program and went

It cannot be overstated how big the leap is from being an assistant coach to being a head coach. I just can’t see Tennessee taking another leap of faith on a promising assistant unless (and this is the key) they already have lined up someone with head coaching experience to join the staff in some capacity. The odds are probably better to be struck by lightning, than an assistant coach that has no one on their staff with significant head coaching experience, being successful at a P5 program.
That said, no one will take the Tennessee job if they are being told who/what they have to hire as assistants. So when you combine these two thoughts what does it add up to? We are not hiring a guy with no head coaching experience. Period.
