The more I look at Elliot and consider his qualities and how good his body of work is..I would rather have him than Fleck or Cristobal or even Fickell, and I think those are all really good football coaches.

With one caveat..he has to be paired with the right defensive staff, but he has a great combination of creativity, personality, football intelligence, and gravitas...and those qualities are exactly what we need.

The ONLY downside to Elliot I can really think of is lack of HC experience, and because of our recent troubles that rightly concerns us, but should we really revolt if he is hired because of that ONE concern?

I have really changed my mind about it a lot today...now I am really really intrigued...🤔

We should NEVER revolt again. Unless it has something to do with pedos or those who may have known about pedos

Not mad at all. I'm actually quite amused. Tennessee will always be tennessee. And you fans will swallow whatever crap coach tennessee feeds you. And you will talk yourselves into thinking it's a 50 dollar steak. Mad? Nope. Barely care about tennessee football anymore. Hahahaha anoooooother coordinator!!!!! But this time he will get it done, Right!? He ain't Pruitt! But white will mentor him!! He wont have to learn on the job like pruitt! Y'all enjoy the next 3 years. Looking forward to two things. Lane kiffin beating us by 40 points and the next coaching search
So, you're back to pitching a baby fit because our AD is not hiring who you want. Cool.

He is a mediocre HC with baggage who started this total downward spiral we are in.

Kiffin is lots of fun, and brought a different energy to UT, but don’t forget his utter failure at USC. He got fired at the airport after an away game and told he wasn’t flying back with the team. They showed him no respect probably because he didn’t show much to them. Kiffin is a HUGE risk wherever he is. Maybe he finally channels that fun energy and recruiting into wins. Or maybe he flakes out again.

I understand that Pruitt is not Elliot, but this job at this moment in time isn’t just a normal P5 job. If Tony Elliot was the choice after Fulmer and instead of Kiffin, I’d be far less hesitant because at that time Tennessee was still an elite program with good players that had just had a bad year but was still close to the top.

Right now, our program is an absolute mess. There is massive roster turnover. 13 years of mediocrity. Potentially crippling NCAA sanctions on the way. And a restless fanbase that hasn’t had anything to celebrate since the Bush Administration. Having an OC come in and try and fix that is not encouraging. It would be setting up someone to fail that needs time to learn and make some mistakes.

But I can promise - if Lane stays at Ol Miss, he will own Memphis recruiting.

So we’re gonna have to excel in NC to make up for that. Which is why I hope whoever we do get is open to keeping Jay Graham on staff.
If we pull a good head coach then he will pull his share from Memphis.

Me waiting on Lane or Freeze

You're going to be sitting in that chair a loooonnnngggggg time.

I would take a look at Eric Bieniemy too. Great offensive mind with lots of nfl experience. Hes been passed over for HC in the nfl and I think would have a chip on his shoulder, if he comes here.

My concern there would be that he is working under a great offensive mind in Reid. How much of KC’s offence is Bienemy?

Don't be a racist. There is one race. Human race. Stop it.
You would be surprised the number of people who get offended when you tell them race does not exist. It’s nothing but a construct as humans are but one race but damn are we ever attached to the idea that being a certain color makes you somehow a different species than someone with a different melanin count.

That said we have developed a ton of racism and racist beliefs around these notions. Race does not exist amongst humans but we sure do believe and behave as tho it does.

That’s why you don’t go lower than Campbell
