There were also players left from the previous staff that didn't fit the culture, work ethic, etc.

Chicken/egg.

It's a valid concern. I do think that's a result of the experience we just went thru with JP.

Elliott has recruited full cycles at Clemson, and had produced results.

He's got a bonafide track record... Dare I say moreso than Pruitt in regards to recruiting?..

Again, not advocating for Elliott per se... But we could and have, done way way worse.

I'm not willing to write him off because 'Elliott=Pruitt' simply b/c they're both coordinators... That's all

If true and it wasn't a "COD" agreement, then the person(s) putting up the cash are flat out stupid..

Eh, I see it differently. You're telling Ty Simpson and Walter Nolen, "Guys, this is the interim coach. You might be playing for him next season, but then again, you might not. Ready to sign??"

Not to mention the attempt to force him on whoever the new head coach is. That's not fair to the interim guy or the head coach.

Thats why interim is not going to work.

Not a fact. Was investigated and determined he did nothing wrong. That was claimed by one of the players in trouble.
