Thats disgusting. TE may not be our perfect candidate. But if the color of his skin is what makes your decision.....then you need to re-evaluate yourself. Because you need help.

my only gripe is Randy Boyd and crew sat up there and said this is no place to learn on the job. We burnt down the entire program to go after another coordinator. That’s no slight to Tony though. I think he’s the next star in coaching!

Like many, I expected we'd have to go down our list. There are only so many elite hires and not everyone is interested in a tough path. UT admin has been hammering the need for patience-- even more patience than we've had before. Coaches have to wonder how much of that they're going to get, and we need someone who's able to move forward with blinders if the answer is not as much as they need.

Thats what kills me. We are gonna pass on Kiffin for a coordinator.
And in 3 years we will have a new AD, a new coaching search and everyone will be drinking the kool-aid of the new leadership.

you rally. he can take Steele, Boydo, and the whole 'new wave' of Tennessee admins, Plowman and Haslam back to whence...

i am hopeful this is a mirage...turning over new blood. this was a crucial hire...weve tried the coordinator route. would MUCH rather have Butch 2.0 & Panama City special

Got this from my well connected Clemson friend.

Clemson Rivals - They are very connected and from following down here in SC very reliable.

In light of what was shared last night by Mike Farrell of Rivals.com, this is a good opportunity to share what we know about the situation involving Tony Elliott and Tennessee.

A source told Farrell that the Tennessee job is Elliott's if he wants it. We are not disputing Farrell's reporting; that information may well be true, though we cannot verify it.

But we are confident in saying that, as of this morning, there had yet to be any contact between Elliott and Tennessee.
