Johnny had been a successful HC, but prior to that, both Battle and Dickey had been assistants. Our history is not full of hiring sitting HCs.

Obviously. Not sure what you're trying to say. TN is still big compared to a lot of other school based on what we did in the 90s where we don't have to go hire coordinators.

Y’all realize a lot of these ADs have good relationships with a lot of coaches and even if there is zero plan to hire them they’ll float their names to help with recognition and hype them up for future jobs. Agents also do this. There is a pretty decent chance that Elliot is not being considered at all. Just being thrown a solid bone from his buddy DW.

If we hire Elliot today I’m frustrated and borderline mad and questioning the AD hire but ultimately jumping on board.
