Honestly have no idea how any AD could trust Freeze to not humiliate the program in one way or another.

It's not that I am super high on Elliott, but I'm gonna trust whatever hire White makes as being the best possible for us that's availible. I actually trust our AD in this situation more than any other time period over the last 15-20 years here.

Our programs two most successful HCs had no prior HC experience when hired. Fulmer was our OC, and the General was an assistant prior to becoming HC.

Ok? This isn't 30 years ago. I'm saying TN still has name recognition to where you dont have to take the risk of hiring a coordinator. You know who else was a coordinator and possibly one of the worst head coaches in TN history? Jeremy Pruitt.

Elliott doesn't have the personality red flags of Pruitt. Also Saban is Bama. Dabo's assistants are Clemson. Why does he insist so hard on keeping them if he is such a good coach?

There is just as much a risk in hiring a current HC. Already having a head coaching job doesnt mitigate the risks of hiring him.
