Because we've been experimenting at UT for 13 years now and where had that gotten us? People are tired of it, no offense to Elliott but now is not the time for a fringe hire that you hope it works outIf your going to be so negative why even follow the program? Elliott is nothing like the last 4 hires. He is actually a good coach with the personality to be a HC.
this team relies too heavily on pons. and didn't use its bench. it shows.Yall think Danny White is going to make it that easy for people to find out...

I agree with the sentiment, but the other side of the coin is a coach who doesn’t know how to manage elite talent. That’s a big part of what makes this hire difficult. You need somebody who can win when they don’t have a stacked roster but you can’t have a guy who doesn’t know how to let an elite player go out there and show everyone how good they are.
This ^^^
Yeah we don't know that is true. But guaranteeing he is going to fail because Pruitt did is dumb. Elliott has many things going for him that Pruitt never did.Pruitt was a good coach and has the personality of Nick Saban.
Until they are the guy, you just do not know.
Tony Elliott is just as questionable as Pruitt was in 2017. At least if we are being honest and not back filling what we know now.
Obviously, in 2021, TE is x1000 better than Pruitt. So I'm happy about that.
I think everything AV brings is 100% true at the time. But things change. He’s not a fortune teller. Information is only accurate until it isn’t. Not saying he’s wrong but just because something is said at one point in a very fluid situation doesn’t mean you can cash that check at any given minute.Reminder
There is 1 that's begging to, I'll support whoever they go with but I have serious doubts about anyone from Bama or Clemson. Besides, I don't believe Elliott is in it. I think he's spewing to the media to pressure Tennessee into hiring him. Could be wrong, JMOP5 coaches don't jump jobs. Elliott is a good hire.
