Its an intriguing thought, but who's out there? Heupel is probably the best of the bunch. If its him why not make the AD and HC hires on the same day.

Seems the most likely. Would be ideal if that G5 HC was a coordinator at a top SEC school, or one of the top other power 5 schools and has exposure to NFL quality athletes.

(I don’t know coaching histories well enough to say who that might be)

Plus if Saban couldn't hire him, Auburn didn't want him but yeah bring him here. He made his bed and now he needs to lie in it. Taken 2 programs to their most wins in school history in 100 years. Players are bought in, runs a clean program, wins. Has proven it at a G5 and a P5.

hey volnation. random vent, but my grandfather passed away this morning. He was an alumni, raised me as a vols fan, took and me 6 hours to Neyland every year...to where I eventually got my degree from UT as well. I'm a little bummed that he didn't get to see the best football towards the end, but I know he's seen way more success than I ever have! I loved our time together watching and talking vols. Just remember what its all about guys.
