For the record I think that guy might actually be outside the search firm, it looks similar to the building on Google Streetview. Pretty pathetic if he is making up stuff about a candidate's wife though.

As it turns out, DW has decided NOT to hire a Head Coach. It’s become clear the last 4 coaches didn’t work out, so we’re just going to have the players coach themselves. It’s genius!

I'd get behind that. He got a raw deal at Texas, I think he's better than that record suggests. Not my top choice by any means, but solid.

But this place is different than other jobs, it will chew you up and spit you out. I don't think Elliott and a few others mentioned are cut out for it.

I honestly think that the PTS is much higher for any coach this time around simply by having and AD like DW. It’s true that he as good track record for hiring, but I think their success is also up to him in no small part. You look at all the successful coaches, no matter where they are, and they all have strong ADs who want to win and know how to win. You have to have the will at the top.

You need an AD that is not afraid of tough conversations. It’s impossible to say, but I would guess that Pruitt would have been much more successful with DW at the helm than PF.
