My guess is the media is in somewhat of a panic mode. No real info available, just lots of speculation. One member tosses out a name, and multiple run with it. And readers react.

Yep. The right QB matched up with right coach goes a very long way. Hell, look at UNC. Sam Howell has them in a better spot than they’ve ever been in with a mediocre roster.

at this point, i really, really, really couldn't care less what we pay the coach, AD, the rest of the staff, analysts...whatever....

the only thing that matters is "value". and we're on the wrong side of that equation.

so, you want out of this mess.................? we're in the "you don't have a choice" territory when it comes to that.

To take it a step further, we need to hire someone who clicks with UT AD and admin and mirrors their philosophy. They're not fishing in the same lake as the fans, so it may not be the popular choice-- but it needs to be the right one for where UT is now.
