Tee acts like he was a heisman caliber QB that led us to a natty. Our defense and run game led the team in 98.

I am incredibly thankful we had Tee in 98. That deep ball was special and his dual-threat nature opened up a ton of things for us . I wish we'd stop eating ourselves alive and focus on our rivals.

People say a lot of things here.. I could see that one actually being true, but you learn under an offensive genius and his star is rising by association. I think UCF keeps it in the family and hires him as HC.

I’m hoping Heupel has made enough inroads in Florida to poach a top player each year

He’s proven his teams can score points. If he scores big on his defensive staffing, recruiting may be the issue to look at over the next few years. Can he bring high level recruits?

Even John Ward told a close friend of mine that was the luckiest team and season he had ever witnessed.

I watched every game, shocked we beat Syracuse and then I still don't know how Arkansas blew that game, and I don't remember many games where I thought "Damn Tee won us this one" it always felt to me like he was limiting us from truly dominating teams.

If his offense performs like it should we’ll score 40+ a game. That’s worth 7+ wins on that schedule.

I hope. I’m usually first on the hurt again bus trying to fight for the front seat. Maybe I will be again by September. I’ll definitely be disappointed with every loss whether it’s Tech or Bama. I just have no optimism left in me.

I’d rather have Freeze or Kiffin. I just don’t see any reason to be optimistic about this hire. Could it work out? Sure, but I’m definitely in wait and see mode.

I'm going to let you guys back at it. I appreciate all of the posts. Coaching searches have been the highlight of Volunteer football since 2009 for me and this one was no exception. This time I feel pretty good and hope we don't have to do it again for a long time. My carpal tunnel can't take it. I'm not as young as I used to be.

SCREW IT... Can not get any worse than what we saw this season. Hope JH surprises all of us. We have some offensive talent he can work with and we certainly out talent what he had at UCF. It is the lack of development that will hold us back offensively early.

I liked this then thought about what he said at the press conference. He finds ways to put players in a position to succeed. Pruitt had an ideal player in mind that he tried to force players to become. That leads to that lack of confidence they were talking about. Think he will create ways for them to succeed on offense.

He deserves it. He's a legend there. They were worse than Vanderbilt ever was many moons ago, and Fitzgerald has made them as good as they've ever been with the exception of Barnett's '95 Rose Bowl team.

I'm all seriousness, this dude might actually take the talent we have on offense and compete with literally everyone we play next season. Might not win against teams like bama but... This is an offense driven game now and hypel does have a chance to compete in all games if his offense is as good as advertised. Just something to think about. Not saying it will happen, but if his offense is as good as advertised it's a real possibility that we win more games than we should next year just by offense alone.
