Could we pick up more transfers after spring practice?Staff needs to be assembled quickly. JH needs to take stock of his roster and decide if there's anyone out there he needs to recruit(Malone would be nice, but it's probably too late) because NSD is a week away. Needs to decide if he's gonna honor whoever is still committed that didn't sign early. Plus, he needs to be looking at transfers to fill out the roster before they all choose other schools. There's a lot to do in a limited amount of time. How he handles it may very well speak to the type of coach he'll be here.
Get behind this program...everyone. Stop bickering. Stop second guessing.
We have a bad ass AD...I mean one of the most impressive guys I have EVER been around. He is getting this right I promise you that.
And another thing...this stuff about whales and authority to offer this and that to two whales is BS. DW has been given a damn centurion card to hire whoever he wishes at whatever cost he sees fit....i have said it 100 times but some folks just can’t understand. Money is not and will not be an issue moving forward with this program.
Are you hearing anything in particular about how the players feel about White and CJH?I think he has the perfect temperament for it. Laid back Much like lane was without the social antics. That’s what I’m more excited about than anything to be honest. Looking around at the best ran teams in all of football there’s a vast majority of them ran by laid back players coaches style leadership. Chiefs, Seahawks, Titans, rams, Oklahoma, Ohio state, Clemson to some degree.
I think just being “one of the guys” is important now. Saban and Urbans method works perfect for them but there’s far more examples of the other style imo. i think we’re going to have one of the best vibes and cultures we’ve had in a long time rather quickly. You can already see player chatter and buy in like we haven’t in a long time.
Most of not only Heupel's but also Frost's successes as coaches has to do with McKenzie Milton. Those guys' records with Milton is awesome; without him it is kind of pedestrian.Well in 2019 his QB broke his leg and he had to play a freshman and in 2020 he had 10 players opt out including 3 starters I believe
