Finally caught up. I'm very optimistic about Heupel. Put a good defensive staff and recruiters around him and TN could shock some ppl. I'm excited to see this offense in action and very glad to see more than 20 points on the scoreboard.

A journeyman. Would not be here long. Never stays long. His DB’s average double digit INT’s here a year or 2 which is better than the last few years I believe... could do worse and better... kinda a filler coach IMO...

After some research I don't. Was disappointed but it's a foundation. We are in the gutter because of the last few debacles. Hopefully he can get us back or at least lay the path for bigger in the future. GBO!

Because some think because we are TN, we should be able to attract a big name coach regardless. There is a significant portion of the fan base that refuses to accept what we are. Think about it.

We wanted a current head coach who is offensive minded. We wanted a coach that can develop players and do more with less. We wanted a younger coach with an innovative mind. We wanted a coach with a winning record. How does Heupel not check all of those boxes?

Is there a chance Heupel will fail? Absolutely. There is an equal chance that he succeeds. But the ones that are hating him already are the idiotic portion of the fan base who lives out side of the confines of rationality and reality.

My guess is Pruitt. I think Stoerner Fumbles mentioned an anecdote where Chaney tried to install some plays for Maurer, and when they ran them at practice Pruitt's reaction was something like "What is this stuff? You won't see that in the game."

Assuming that it was Pruitt, I'm not sure we'll know why he kept running him out there. It was insane, literally insane, to keep playing him after those INTs in the Kentucky game.

There is no “assumption “. Pruitt was the HC, nobody was overruling what he wanted to do.
JG was in because JP said so.
JP is an arrogant, a$$hat jerk. When people like him are in charge, it’s their way or no way.
