Jurmy was a bad people person and bad head football coach.

I don't love the Matt Merritt at RB coach move.

UCF just hired Merritt three weeks ago from James Madison:

JMU didn't play last season and this guy has virtually no recruiting history.

It's not like Merritt was part of the UCF machine - he has literally never coached a practice for them.

To bring him on when someone like Jay Graham was an option isn't the best move.

While I agree about Merritt, I'm glad we're washing our hands completely of Pruitt's coaching staff.. It's a new beginning... also, when it gets time for the NCAA to lay down the hammer, we can say we have rid ourselves of every coach of that staff, all listed names in the investigation are gone, etc etc.. maybe they'll have a little more mercy on us... If they still throw the hammer at us, DW strikes me as a guy who is arrogant enough to 1. push back, and 2. expose the rest of the SEC, and blow up the entire system.. I'll get my popcorn ready just in case

That's actually a great article that has some ugly truth about us Vol fans and some good insight into Heupel from his former bosses. We deserve the shots he took. Just look at the responses to the story on Twitter.

Who is we? Everyone acts like Vol Twitter and Vol fans are some kind of monolithic hive mind. It's a huge and diverse fan base. There are crazies (although Bama tops the crazy list), but the vast majority are reasonable people who expect better than they are getting.

Roc Taylor still shows as committed to us, but he didn't sign in the early period. Previous staff was supposedly going to git shirt him. No idea about what JH will do. Andison Coby, JuCo WR, is already enrolled so I'm not sure if he still has to sign or not.

I wonder, is Arik Gilbert is still a transfer possibility? I know he's missed drop/add but I wonder if he's still enrolled at LSU and plans on transferring this summer.

In the end, we will have saved money even if we decide to pay Pruitt in a settlement. My guess is he has a mitigation clause with us too, so he will either get paid over 2 years or take another job. That kind of money is kind of peanuts in the grand scheme of things.

Merritt recruited NC, SC, and those states while at Elon, seems like a younger inexperienced Graham, imo.

He played a role in the development of Ezekiel Elliott and Braxton Miller while with the Buckeyes, in addition to coaching Carlos Hyde and Curtis Samuel.

Told my brother the other day that we’ve gone from a Bruce Pearl offense dropping 100+ to a Cuonzo offense struggling for 70 seemingly overnight. Don’t get it.

Barnes needs to recruit a couple of pure shooters desperately. Imo that is a big factor. They know now we can't hit jumpers very well, so they are clogging the offense up and bogging it down.

Something to consider with Jay Graham is that he has never (at least from what I can tell) coached in a true Spread/RPO offense. His time at SC, TAMU, Tennessee, etc. have all be in more "pro-style" offenses and I can imagine it's a different way to coach.

UCF players being small is a myth. Other than a few of their skill guys on offense they're not a small team.

He's still in the portal, so I assume he could still transfer and enroll in the summer. I'm hoping JH has evaluated his team and is taking a good look at who in that portal could improve it.

Hell, he should just start having our kids contact kids in other programs and try to get them to come here, since that seems to be AOK with the NCAA.

Do you not know who got Key Lawerence, Walker Merrill, Hyatt, Malachi Wideman, William Griffin, Elijah Simmons, Jimmy Calloway, Jimmy Holiday, the Memphis trio, Dee Beckwith, Lampley, James Robinson, etc? See this is where some of you all are idiots and just talk. He did get an interview at S. Ala and also told them he wasn’t leaving. As far as qualified a interview is just courtesy in this case. I didn’t say name him HC.

who care what you think of Kiffin. He has his OC making $1.2 mil and winning games and heading into NSD in a good position and better than what we have going on in Knoxville from Dummy Plowman on down

And that $9 mil would’ve been well worth it from a guy whose won at a Vandy vs a guy who is making $4 mil and couldn’t out recruit Memphis and Houston and 2 others in the AAC. Could cover a full size bed with a king size sheet on defense. Just kept trying to run the score up putting the defense right back on the field blowing big games. No concept of clock management coast him 2 games I saw

in the AAC and he lost more games every year. The stuff CJP done is regular football business. Idiot booster got mad and they turned and got JG and family to flip because he got benched. They hv threatened to do this for years. When you are at a school where boosters would rather be 6-6 but strut on the field feeling like they run the show and get mad that coaches don’t kiss azz then you hv what you see here.
