Lambier would be charged with a hate crime for knocking out LeBron's teeth with a high elbow.

Then LeBron would sit out the rest of the season with his ouchie.

Lebron has two weight classes on Laimbeer. Laimbeer was always a bigger threat for smaller guys instead of those big enough to retaliate.

3-5 scholarship reduction for 3 years and 1-2 year bowl ban. Maybe even get to count last year's bowl we turned down.
Can’t accept $8 million from SEC in bowl revenue sharing this year if we go that route. I think we should do it but budget shortfall due to Covid might determine decision. If we get folks in the stadium next year may offset some of the penalty. Again rather get these penalties behind us.

Yep, I'd take the hits as quickly as possible. Put it in the rearview mirror.

Again - the self reporting is generally handled as a summary disposition. UT, Glazier and the NCAA are all looped in early. Glazier will provide recommendations on sanctions based on past NCAA rulings for similar offenses. The final report with self-imposed sanctions is then presented to the NCAA to follow-up on. Speeds up the process and the settlement of issues if schools are open and honest about the infractions.

I wish folks would realize that if we had been caught by the NCAA doing what Jeremy and crew did, the sanctions would have been far worse and damaging to the program. It would taken a long time, cost a lot more money, and the sanctions would have been worse IMO. Odds are that we would have been caught based on how open they were with it.

Stoops said “not surprised”. It was known and a matter of time before we got caught.

You’ll have to give it up at some point right? Might as well eat that frog now considering those bowl payouts will likely increase in the future.

Also where does that money go when it’s forfeited? Stays in Birmingham or get redistributed to the rest of the schools?
