Still a safer bet to go with a majority staff with an already established rep.

Look, I’m totally on board with JH bringing his OL and WR coaches. Those would be good hires. It really isn’t even a terrible idea to bring the OC since he won’t be calling plays anyway. But the TE and RB spots should be filled with proven coaches in the Power 5, preferably with SEC experience.
You realize the TE coach is the OC, Golesh, who helped build iowa states program with Campbell as the recruiting coordinator and TE coach.

I agree. I’m not trying to bash JH, I’m on board. But you’d think that having gone through X amount of coaching changes the last decade that we can look at his potential hiring of his entire UCF offensive staff objectively.

I hope it works out but I’m skeptical. I think if this happens there will be major staff shake up again in two years and not for good reasons.
If he goes more than a year without utilizing the nuclear option, it’ll be an improvement over Pruitt.

The phone calls were discovered when Houston Nutt sued the school because Freeze was telling recruits and others that any violations would be from Nutt’s tenure. Nutt’s attorneys requested phone records and found the escort phone number.
It's true that Nutt's attorneys requested the phone records but they didn't know what they had. A Mississippi State fan, who was writing a book about the whole ordeal, got the phone numbers, through an open record request, and actually saw one particular 800 number that kept popping up during Freeze's recruiting trips to Florida. He called the number himself and found out it was as escort service. He then called Ole Miss and told them what he had found and the rest is history.

That's awesome. Did they watch the last one? I've been scouting airbnb in laguna Vista and South Padre. Wasn't sure if you could see the landing in laguna Vista though.
From my pops....

From what I know, SpaceX bought or is in the process of buying the 35 homes which are Boca Chica Village. The county closes the only road to SpaceX on launch days. I don’t know of any properties on Boca Chica. I believe the best viewing would be from Isla Blanca Park on SPI, and are plenty of accomadations on SPI as well.

Isla Blanca Park on the south end of the island. There is an entry fee.

In hind sight, sure, but people were saying EXACTLY the same thing when we moved on from Butch.

“Pruitt has rings at two stops and has forgot more about football than Butch knows. Cornnnbreaddddddd.”
And when it was time to cut bait, we were all right at the same time.

Yeah..... I have never understood the hate for insiders..... we all crave info and should judge on our own who we trust and ignore who we don’t....the best insiders are still typically getting at least second hand info and are not sitting in on negotiations....the most ridiculous I ever saw was skeeter.... it was obvious he was close bc he was almost 100% right.... he missed one time on a guy that told coaches he was coming.... our fans chased him all over the board ridiculing him.
Skeeter was dead on about so much. He would jump in with a name no one was even talking about and the next day they would commit.

No official launches in Texas. The falcon launches in California and mostly Florida. SpaceX bought the village of boca chica to build and test Starships. Eventually they will probably make it an official launch site for it but probably from a converted deep sea oil rig off the coast since it will be such a big loud rocket you can't be that close to residents. But for now they do test flights. YouTube starship sn8 flight. He launched that giant 14 story tall, 30ft wide, stainless steel silo 40k ft in the air, cut the engines and flipped over sideways to belly flop down. Then right before the ground relight the engines to flip back upright and land. That was the first attempt at that belly flop landing by anyone ever. If not for an easily fixable loss of header tank pressure at the very last second, they would have stuck the landing right in the middle of the landing pad. It's insane.

Love the space program. I had an uncle that was in charge of reusing Apollo computer equipment in the Space Shuttle program. He could tell some stories. I recall him talking about how fascinating he found a TI 84 calculator to be because it had more computing power than all of the computers used to send men to the moon.

Any new updates on staff hires? Starting to think they've found some of their leaks...it's gone quiet!

I also agree with DW when he mentioned why he didn't like the leaks, sucks that both football teams found out about their coach leaving/hiring through freaking social media. Heupel did get a chance to speak with his UCF team face to face though, then sent a video message to his UT team before arriving to have that face to face.

I wonder where we could find one...For all the Steele naysayers

I’d be all for keeping Steele, especially since we’d likely have to hire a DC that’s further on down the list.

But forcing Steele or any other coach on Huepel would be worse though, that’s the kind of stuff that’s bitten us hard over the last 15 years.

Pruitt brought in plenty of talented dudes doing exactly the same thing that Bama, Auburn, LSU, UGA, and Florida are doing. He sucked as a head coach and that’s why he was outed in the manner that he was.

I think JH is and will prove to be a better head coach. But it won’t matter if we don’t get the jimmy and joes here.
Different conversation. Jimmy and Joe sitting on the bench because Coach doesn’t trust them serves us no better. Now play Sean and Tucker and start getting to somewhere.

Kind of messed up he didn’t tell them? I hate to hear that..
I believe the leak caused that to happen. It came out before before he got a chance to tell them.
Yeah that's why DW hates leaks. He wanted the players at both schools to find out the right way instead of through social media. It's really a shame that is such a hard thing to do these days.

Logic points to bringing his entire offensive staff with him as being a huge mistake.

We can justify it. Get behind it. But it screams of “best staff in America” nonsense that we’ve already been through.
This is a very valid point but I am ok with it. With the sanctions hanging over us and possible scholarship reduction, I think recruiting is going to be terribly difficult, regardless. The best hope we have is fielding an exciting offense that may turns some heads. To do that, these coaches need to be on the same page and the machine running full speed like yesterday. They know what they are doing, as a unit and we need that in a bad way right now.
