Missed the point and then confirmed it with what you said. Us doing what we are doing is because it is rigged. We are not in, we are outsiders to the club and have been since Roy Kramer retired. Fulmer ruined our membership in the club in the mid-90's by turning in Bama. If you are an outsider you do it the way we are doing it now to avoid the heavy hammer. Bruce's weenie roast affair pulled back the curtain and confirmed our status while the elites in the club continued doing what they do.
If you find a way to get us back into the club, you will be a hero for all of VN. Until then, I'll take reality over long lost perception. When we do the reality thing we stop kicking at the goads and start long term healing personally and as a football program.
AAC coaches making the jump to power 5 is a brutal trend:
For the record, I doubt he got it while dropping him off. Usually takes 5-7 days to show symptoms after exposure.Salter family needs help. His dad got covid while dropping him off at UT and is now in ICU.

Almost posted this exact thing. What's the context to this though? Norvell has had one year. Jury is still out. Manny Diaz took over a bad situation and he started bad but now has turned it around. Overall record isn't fair. Tom Herman's record is great at Texas. Just didn't win a title. Matt Rhule would've done just fine at Baylor. Does anyone think otherwise? There's a reason he got an NFL job. Geoff Collins had to completely change the way they play football at GT. That takes time. Usually coaches moving up are taking over programs that were bad. They aren't walking in to GA, OSU, or OU situations.
The Lebby and Briles piece is incorrect. As soon as CJH stated he was calling plays, both of those guys were off the board and he knew it.Yeah, I’m fine with him bringing his staff for the reasons you mentioned. But two things give me pause:
1) It seems like he chased Lebby and Briles and neither wanted to come. So, by default, there are people he didn’t want to bring with him who he is now bringing.
2) none of these guys have a known track record of being elite recruiters. If the head coach isn’t good at it, you need a few hounds. Maybe Burns or Merritt evolve into it quickly.
Also I’m worried about not having anyone with Tennessee ties on the coaching staff. I think it really helps to have alums who will go the extra mile and also provide a bridge to the “Tennessee” way. This is Josh Heupel’s program now - I don’t mean to suggest otherwise. But there needs to be some guys there who can help him understand Tennessee and what the fanbase and former players want/expect.
We can never win unless this changes. What you said sounds good and all, but the fanbase doesn't understand that paradigm and will just keep chewing up and spitting out every poor schmuck that comes here.
It is rigged and it needs to be fully exposed. Those dudes that we just fired for this mess came straight from Crappabamma, just like Dubbo at Clemson, and Smart at UGA came from Crappabama...if that doesn't prove to the blind obtuse masses what is going on..then I don't know what will.
We will never compete against that stacked deck if we do not allow our guys to play the game too.
Handcuffing ourself playing this "Beacon of integrity" game is a recipe for eternal failure..I hope they were just performing an act when they said that..
I think from what I saw, their offense was the main issue in 2019.
Cheating has to be done quietly and through unofficial proxies. Otherwise you're begging to get busted. We can never win unless this changes. It was a coordinated premeditated hit job..period. I hope it was worth it in the long run. It’s not being in some sort of club...... it’s having a strong AD and administration backing it up.....Doug Dickey wouldn’t allow the NCAA to do anything..... The NCAA has no investigative powers so unless they have definitive proof.... it is best to fight them with lawyers and hardly anything will happen to you.... we did the investigation for them.
I’m betting Geoff Collins ends up doing a damn good job at GT. He will recruit well there and brings a bunch of energy that GT needs. What's the context to this though? Norvell has had one year.
