What was the bad decision? I admit, the jury is out on JH, but without knowing all the details, how do we know JH wasn't the best we could do? I personally didn't want Franklin. Trouble follows him. Lots of other coaches I would have loved to have, but supposedly they weren't interested. And in this case, acting like an ass is worse because that's the one thing you can control. You can't make other people's choices, but you can make your own.Which one is worse? Acting like an ass or stabbing the University in the heart with bad decisions????
I am not sorry for my actions and I did not ask you for permission or approval.
Don't try to reason with the unreasonable. What was the bad decision? I admit, the jury is out on JH, but without knowing all the details, how do we know JH wasn't the best we could do? And he failed in the most important task he had. That is like an Olympic 100 meter sprinter that looks good in warm up but false starts when it counts. You don’t give a damn about anything but the race. You are probably more of a clown for thinking this ends any other way besides us seeking a new coach in 4-5 years with no material improvement to the program. Am I angry? Hell yes, hence the burning of my diploma that I no longer care for (I refuse to support such bad prolonged decision making). Why do I still post? Because I like to talk ****. I’ll let you know when your remarks have any impact on my psyche.
I kinda thought that when he mentioned the staff at the ballgame. Couldn't imagine him saying that if everyone was turning us down.I think it’s already decided and they are keeping things close to vest right now. I do think DW is looking for leaks, but they know they need an all star staff assembled ASAP so I would be shocked if things weren’t close to finalized.
It is the AD’s job to get people to say yes. Otherwise you would pay them like a University department head ($300k) a year and not $1m+.What was the bad decision? Pretty sure DW said in his intro of JH that we didn't offer anyone before JH. I guess it's semantics. Interviewed, negotiated, but never got close enough to officially offer?I'm still wondering if we ever offered Tony Elliott or not? Mainly because I read an article the other day slamming college football for no diversity hires this cycle. We tried, and failed, yet we were grouped in with others for not making a minority hire. You can't make a candidate take a job. If we offered both Franklin and Elliott, I don't see how we can be faulted for them turning us down.
Hard to negotiate when facing NCAA sanctions. And try as he might, you can't make someone say yes. I agree that DW needs to be able to sell UT, but right now, we're an extremely hard sell.It is the AD’s job to get people to say yes. Somebody tagged him! I don't know why.Man, we just beat Kansas a** and you’re coming in here with some serious negativity. Move it to the FF please sir. We’re ready to kick a** and take names in both football and basketball. You have no idea what we could be in 4-5 years but let’s hope it’s back on top.
