I think its more noticeable during moments in the game when we are hurting. As fans we don't seem to realize when we start getting everything. We were probably getting smoked on the boards at the beginning of the second half, then turned around and dominated the glass rest of the game.Man, didn't seem like it. You're right though. Still would like to see us give up fewer offensive rebounds. Seems like that was a huge issue in the games we lost.
Medical Marijuana FAQWhy would anyone over the age of 18 smoke it?
I'd rather get bounced in the first two rounds of the tournament, with one or two S16/E8 appearances and the occasional SEC title in a 10 year span with Barnes than wander the basketball desert striking out on "promising" new coaches who fail, get us in NCAA trouble, bone-headed players, and a carousel of coaches in hopes of striking gold.Don't care..he has built a really good program with kids that you can be proud of. This is not an old blue blood, we have pretty much always had a crap program my whole life except a few years when Mears was here and for a little while when Bruce was here. Rick Barnes is worth every penny IMO...especially now when the flagship sport has been nothing but embarrassment after embarrassment for the better part of 15 years.
He built this BB program from ashes after it had become a massive flaming embarrassment...that is a great job no matter what, there is no reasonable way you could call him overrated just for that alone.
And you typed this with a straight face? LolYes......yes he is. Peyton changed how the NFL game is played and in my opinion would still be playing if not for the nerve damage. If you are insinuating that Brady is you are incorrect. However, Brady is the luckiest QB to ever play the game. I would argue Vinatieri is the most important player in the Patriots dynasty.

Conk would be a good hire. Hard to believe he and Ansley were the secondary coaches on that terrible 2012 defense.I think UT could do worse than Conklin. His tie to Heupel might be through Heupel's dad as Conklin played and broke into coaching in South Dakota.
As others have said, please give me a young up and coming DC over a retread.
If Conklin does well at an SEC school, he would seem to be in line for a D-1 job sooner rather than later if his record at Wofford is any indication.
I'd rather have a DC who has proven something. When JH was hired, there was a lot said about him needing to hire a proven DC and letting him run the defense. Conklin doesn't fit that mold IMO.I think UT could do worse than Conklin. His tie to Heupel might be through Heupel's dad as Conklin played and broke into coaching in South Dakota.
