Been with State Farm for 30 years, but after the last increase without explanation (no claims) I just couldn’t stay with them. Went with Liberty Mutual, but I work for them so got a good employee discount.
You work for Liberty Mutual but had insurance with State Farm even though you get an employee discount. That's kinda funny :):)

Tampa's DL was feasting last night. Vea had to be double teamed or he would destroy. Leaving JPP and Barrett 1 on 1 against the backup tackles. It's not like they were blitzing 5-6 guys per play. Andy Reid is one of the smartest football coaches in the game. KCs OL was just too bad to even have a chance
In this day and age of high octane offense winning everything, it was refreshing to see a defense dominate a big game like that. That's one of the few ways to stop modern offenses - have front 3 or 4 that can get consistent pressure without having to blitz. The way last night played out reminded me a lot of the Giants win over the Patriots in 2007.

Yeah, AP said this last night on The Nation. Basically all the coaches on the offensive side of the ball besides a RB coach are in Knoxville already. They had no idea on the defensive side other than repeating Brice's report about Washington, and that Rodney Garner would be a no-brainer for any DC who comes here.
If they plan to introduce the staff at Wednesday’s game, then CJH and DW must have agreements in place or be fairly confident in defensive staff hirings.

Even other NFL officials have said the same thing about this Super Bowl. They were there to manage the game, not become the biggest part of the game.
Didn't watch one play. Sounds like I missed a stinker..

It just dawned on me I haven't watched one play of an NFL game all season, first time since I've been old enough to remember...

Haven't missed any of it either...

It doesn’t seem to negatively impact Bama, LSU, OU, or even Arkansas.

It's not the same thing - we will be far less talented than those teams (other than Arkansas) for the next three or four years minimum.

Heupel has talked about using speed to bridge the talent gap, and his offense is one of the few left in the country that uses pure speed as a weapon. Most offenses now mix in tempo - we'll use tempo 100% of the time.

When it works, we'll score a lot of points. When it doesn't, the defense is screwed.

So current staff other than JH.

Golesh - TE/Co-OC
Elarbee - OL
Halzle - QB
Burns - WR

Still need a RB coach and a defensive staff. Possibly a ST coordinator.
There's been a lot of good names tossed around for RB coach so I'm hopeful we land someone good.

Burns seems like a pretty good recruiter and Golesh,Elarbee, and Halzle appear to be the core of what made Heupel successful at UCF.

Tampa did also blitz a lot though. Bring lavante and white a few times. Lots of corner and safety blitzes too. There was a play late in the game they blitzed both outside corners from each side. Most plays vea and suh were the only ones with their hand in the dirt. Everyone else standing at the line so you have no clue who or how many are coming. Todd Bowles was the mvp.

Wish we could have kept Jay.

OL/DL/QB are by far the most important positions in the game

I'd go with Hardesty if it were me

Washington seems like a Sunseri hire. I hope it works out but it’s hard not to be worried how he will do in the coordinator role without 5-stars all over the place.
A Sunseri hire would be a desperation move because it was just Dooley grabbing the first guy he could get from the Saban machine

It’s just strange that w still looking for a dc i just wonder if was for co/dc or position coach. Theres no way we have went this long without getting a dc lined til now. Should be several DCs at smaller schools that would love the chance to be at Tennessee

Doesn’t mean Heup wants them as DC tho.
