13 years does not equal "almost two decades. Most of that has been co-DC. 5 of those years were with Butch Jones, first at Central Michigan, then at Cincinnati. Probably means nothing, but given our experience with Butch, a big turn off to me.

I don't either, but he has never let it bother him before. I remember when he first showed up in Derrick Browns thread a few years ago and I got into with him a little bit because the info we were getting from everywhere else was pointing to Brown signing with us and he was saying there was no way. I found out pretty quick he was for real. He is overly positive over kids that play us sometimes..but if he ever says a kid is not coming here, you can pretty much take it to the bank.

Yeah...imo, the guy should be held in high regard solely for what he does for anonymous people on a damn message board.

Now if he had anything to do with the sh1tstorm...who knows. I do know, he REALLY didn't like what was in place here.

Illinois has no chance to compete vs OSU, MSU, Michigan, PSU and no football tradition. UT has the tradition. He knows how to coach and would put UT in the Top 7 classes every year.

Black coaches are underrepresented at the coordinator (and HC) level, so I honestly don't mind White trying to make a hire in that direction. I also think it's important the coaching staff represents 80% of the roster.

The problem I have is White and Heupel possibly not being on the same page. If your HC wants to hire x, you should hire x, if you trust him as much as you say you do.

Hiring someone because of their skin color, black or white, is racist. It's wrong either way. I want to hire the best coach, regardless of skin color.
