What's wrong with what I posted? Is it not true that they are going out of their way to hire a person of color? Have we not been turned down by a baker's dozen of African Americans? Is it not a valid question to ask that when we can't get an African American to take it that we just go find the right person for the job regardless of skin color?
My statement wasn't racist in the least bit.
Sorry @BigOrangeTrain, I sometimes forget that we are all different people with different preferences. Since snow bunnies aren't your thing, here you go

My nephew was the captain of the LSU hockey team. He personally set up the first SEC hockey tournament.
LSU lost in the finals to Tennessee’s hockey team!
It absolutely killed him that they lost to Tennessee.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. Very clarifying and it makes perfect sense. Thanks, man, for dragging me back into the sh!t heap. My point was that UT wants to explore diversity candidates from all backgrounds-- and the university does exactly that as a matter of policy. The president and chancellor have said that numerous times in numerous venues, in support of UT's diversity program and its formal guidelines, which apply to all departments.
I did not say that anybody is mandating hiring someone of a specific color or ignoring or passing over people of a different color, gender, ethnicity or sexual persuasion. I did not say this is why it's taking so long to complete the staff, nor did I imply that hiring a minority (of any minority group) is "less than" or "not as qualified" as any other hire. It's neither mutually inclusive or exclusive.
