Some of the dumb crap said about him is either blatantly false or stupid.
I mean dudes were complaining because he was overthrowing receivers and then saying he doesn’t have the arm strength.....

Truth is he was just inexperienced and the staff hadn’t even been getting him ready to play until past halfway through the season. (Pruitt literally said they didn’t have time to train up the QBs but the Number 1 and Number 2- lol I can’t even believe that was an acceptable answer at the time)

Which btw is completely unacceptable.

I just watched about 2 minutes of Paul Finebaum......I thought I had issues....where do they find these people and are they really walking around in the general public. I don't watch him very often if at all but after a short stint I know why. Don't get me wrong I am no better than anybody else but that was stunning.

In my short period of watching I also discovered that UT has never done anything right and some of these callers have put this buffoon up on a pedestal. They were wanting him to tell them everything from who their program needed to hire as a coach, where they should eat lunch and what type tire goes best in the snow. The only positive I can come up with is Woody Paige also graduated from UT so that cancels Paul out in the big picture of things.

I need more Skittle's.....its been a trying day. Anybody seen my pillow? Never mind, here it is.

Every single QB we have seen in Jim Chaney's offense at UT looked slow. And it has been pointed out numerous times that was caused by the plays called more than the QB. If you have 2 or 3 running routes and one of them is running a sideline drag route that takes 30+ yards to get to the "spot" while the other guys are running deep post 35+ yards down the field with an OL that couldn't hold pass protection longer than a sneeze last, you get QBs watching all their targets get double covered since the DC knows he can get pressure with 3 guys.

You're going to look slow deciding on who to throw to, but that isn't the same as having a slow release.

Tim Tebow had a slow release, Harrison Bailey doesn't.

I’m saying the notion that he has a “slow release” is ridiculous. Does the ball come out of his hand different sometimes yes. But when he needs to he gets the ball out of there. There are plenty of throws that you can go back and look and see him laser one in there. But doing that every single throw isn’t necessary.

You don’t seem to understand what I am saying. The release has nothing to do with throwing lasers.

The release is defined by the length of time it takes him to circle his hand and get rid of the ball. His hand path is longer and takes more time than many QBs. That’s what I mean. It doesn’t matter how much velo the throw is after in this discussion

You obviously didn’t read my other post. Harrison Bailey literally changes his “throwing motion” when he has to. Please for the love of all that is good go watch his throws on YouTube, he changes his “throwing motion” multiple times.

Bailey will be the QB. He is mobile enough and has the accuracy. Watch his HS film. Do not blame him for the crap offense we ran last year
Exactly..I think he is going to thrive in this offense with a complete offseason, and I think he knows it. He was basically totally neglected till mid year by the staff and then got crappy coaching on top if that.

While I agree HB’s release is a tad bit slow but I think the the biggest issue was him being indecisive which led to sacks/fumbles. He was a freshman in an middle school offense, let’s see what he can do with actual coaching in a QB friendly offense.
Not only this but they literally were not preparing any other QBs to be “starters” other than QB 1 and QB 2 and Bailey was QB 3/4 for half the year lol.

His hand path is slow. He has a slow release. Sorry to disappoint you

I think HB deserves a clean slate for multiple reasons. I believe he can be a stud in this offense.

I like Salter too, but many off you guys are doing the same ole same ole with him as we have others: hasn’t played an SEC snap but will be a starter from Day 1. Not many can do, nor should do it.
I just think Salter is to raw coming out of HS. He has a lot he needs to work on, he will be an awesome QB for us though in a year or two.

I think each QB we have could thrive in this offense so seeing who emerges ahead will make Spring practice very interesting

Also have to take into consideration no longer having to worry about mistakes and being yanked for no reason at all.

Bailey can be great in this offense. We’ll see how it plays out though.
