Oh I've built probably 25 rocket stoves. 2 masonry heaters at an mha convention. I made a tandoor out of insulated castable refractory once. Bought at harbison walker in knoxville

Hell I once looked up the patent for the coating on the space shuttle. Ordered the stuff I needed, and coated a rocket stove that would melt aluminum. All naturally aspirated with no fan or electric.

Rocket stove maker, Vol fan. Stove, Vol. Stove Vol. StoVol. I get it now.

There's a little slot where the fire chamber shoots flames into the bake oven. The cool thing now is called a Russian double bell. You force the hot gases to stratify at the top of a bell, giving stone time to soak up heat. At bottom it gets out a slot and rises to a second bell, soaking up more heat. I helped a Canadian build one at a mha convention near asheville around 2015
I found that very first video on the Russian Masonrystove, this dude is funny crazy watched more of his exploit s as well.

They’re about to release him. He had visible irritation around his “boy parts” and they thought he may have possibly developed a UTI. Took a urine sample via catheter and it came back negative. They wanted to do a flu/COVID test, but mama declined it because it is an uncomfortable procedure and the illnesses are untreatable (other than symptom mitigation). Plus, like I posted earlier, we are convinced he had COVID a few weeks ago because he was spitting his food out, like he had no appetite from loss of taste/smell. The attending physician believes it is viral and not MIS-C. Thanks for the prayers, Volunteers! 🤙🏼

He’s ready to go home.

No better place to be! This is tough. I hate when the littles get the funk. So thankful you’re home.

I’ll wager you $50 he isn’t the starter.
Based on his experience gained at Virginia Tech and how he would fit in Heupel’s offense I believe he would be the favorite IMO. Bailey looked like a quality SEC Qb sometimes but looked like JG at other times. The book is open on Salter but I do not believe he will be ready as a freshman. It wouldn’t bother me at all if Salter or Bailey surprise. Hopefully will know more after spring practice.

Fire nerd.... Isn't that a polite term for a pyromaniac?..... 😎

Very interested in this. Will have to research then fire up Solidworks... 😁

@StoVol Wondered about your screen name...

Off the top of your head, what's the best source for info?
Mha masonry heaters association. Look at chernovs site in canada. He's bad to the bone. But the obscure peter vandenburg his is going to be awesome coupled with a Russian double bell design. That firebox is the foundation. Insulated heat riser is the key

Our 11-month-old son started running a fever this afternoon and is in the ER now with a 103.1 temperature. Some of you may recall me asking for prayers for my niece late last year due to MIS-C, a secondary condition to COVID-19. We are almost positive he was infected with COVID-19 a few weeks back. There was an outbreak at his school, and my wife and I contracted it. I know we have prayer warriors here and I would appreciate them at this time.

I prayed for your son and sympathize with you on this. My daughter spiked a high fever when she was 2 that caused a febrile seizure. Scariest thing I’ve ever been through. Just tonsillitis, tho. A trip to the ER, and we were back home...distraught and treating a fever.

There is nothing that can grip you like seeing your child in deep distress. Yet somehow, we end up more distressed than them in the end. Funny how love works.

On the snow cleanup, I’ve said before how proud I am of my guys in the Public Works department. They’re killing it out here working all night to get our roads cleaned up as good as it can be done. I just saw one drive by in a wheel loader to scrape the road. God bless them and all the others out there working their butts off.

These guys are my heros.

My point is that the people in charge Effed this up with a capital F, and like you said this could’ve been completely avoided.

To blame it on the residents of Texas for not ‘being prepared’ like some posters have mentioned is ignorant.
So government should be prepared, but individuals shouldn't? Both can happen.

Praying now for your amazing son.

Saw this and it blew my mind. Sometimes...reality is insane.
Side thought: I guess the world's population will fit just fine on this great big world we're living on.

As long as humans don’t mind living on uninhabitable land with no water source, things should be fine.
