CJH has tried the goin' home route. He knows it in his bones--you can't go home again. He wanted a NC as a player and you can bet he wants this kind of dominance as a coach. His trajectory shows it. He is fully aware of the opportunity he has been given on the Hill. Things are lining up. The Vols may have caught lightning in a bottle. #Phase1

The honeymoon phase is glorious

Anyone want to give their ranking of all the Def staff and Off staff hires? Would be interested to hear from anyone that has been able to follow closely.

All I have is - my defensive #1 would be Garner. Offensive #1 Halzle/Golesh. Mostly just a guess on offense though.

Didn’t we lose to Florida twice because of our secondary’s failure to do their job? And a hail marry from dobbs erased a should be death blow bust. Was WM coaching those games? Either way can’t say I’m excited about hiring any of the coaches outside d line. Pretty sure we are in yet another rinse and repeat hope situation to take advantage of our fan base. You’ll know it’s Groundhog Day again when he gets up there in Destin and says “ the days of kicking Tennessee around are over...”

Martinez wasn’t at UT for the UF loss in 2017. Charlton Warren had been hired, and Bob Shoop was DC. Warren is now the DC at Indiana. So, you decide who the common denominator was.

Martinez may not be the best, but Banks’ expertise is the secondary. I would say the new LB hire from Michigan is a good hire.

Lol did you watch the kid in pass coverage last year? BGS is pretty spot on here
You saw how the whole defense looked last year right? Very Sunseri-ish. Don't think any of them really knew what they were doing, especially the ones Nieds was coaching. I wouldn't rush to judge HT off last years performance.

Fans of those players/brothers will not support what HT is doing to them even if they do....because we are fans. And from some of the Tweets after the mass exodus, I'm not sure you are entirely right about how they feel about it.
I guess I have such a different perspective since I turned my heart back over to the Lord, but sports aren't nearly as important to me anymore, and I think a lot of us take this too seriously and get way overly dramatic about it.
