It's certainly meant to be a quick and dirty method, just like the blue chip ratio which is extremely basic without context...and yet is undefeated for over a decade.Based on how kids were rated out of high school? Seems like a pretty useless data point to determine how our current roster compares to others, since it doesn't take into account coaching, development, culture. I'd take a bunch of 3* juniors and seniors with solid coaching for 3-4 years any day over 4* who are poorly developed or underclassmen.
Skoal can's HS coach....Pruitt and his gang took it to another level.
The only reason we shouldn't make 7 wins this season is if we're bit by the injury bug. Barring that, 7 wins should be our floor. A competent coaching staff should be able to accomplish that.
Even with what we've lost, we should have the talent to be middle of the pack SEC.
I'll be there in exactly 1 month. The Grandest Canyon..

Kirby has achieved nothing Richt hasn't achieved except play for a national title, and Richt arguably would have had two shots at one (2002, 2012) if we had the playoff format that allowed Kirby to play for one.
Meanwhile, Pruitt, while demonstrating some shocking ineptitude as a head coach, was working with a lot less talent. Imagine if he'd had a quarterback that was even serviceable (Maurer and Shrout clearly weren't it, either). Imagine if he'd had the 2015 UT squad.
I'm not saying it's definitive one way or the other, but it would be a fascinating case study.
I just can’t. If you believe this then you do not keep up with college football. I could have listened to them being familiar with their systems and further along and probably get us this year. I can’t get behind any argument where those teams out talent us in any way. And please show me a QB to be scared of on any of those teams not named Ole Miss. All average as hell.KY and Mizzou
Edit: ole miss and Pitt are equal but both have better QBs than we do
I understand that. But I’m sorry if KY and MZ do nothing for me. We crushed MZ last year and KY had to have JG throw their touchdown passes. We are worried about depth now but we are going to get some good players back soon and we will get a few transfers. It's more than just talent. When you look at our talent then look at the instability of our program, our situation is worse than every program bar Vandy. It doesn't matter that we have talented players, this isn't the PAC-12. Talent, depth, and continuity is what matters in this league among other things.
