Watching him try to put weight on it before he realized it was broken was like watching a train wreck in slow motion. Feel so bad for him. Crazy coincidence it happened to him of all people. I vividly remember watching that happen to Anderson Silva at my buddies house back in the day.

Bailey may be a pusher and have an awkward release, but he is accurate and makes the right read. Maurer is erratic and Hooker is an athlete. I’m not sure of Baileys NFL future but I think he could be a great college QB. Tebow had a weird throwing motion but he was a hell of a player. Now I’m not saying Bailey is Tebow, but he deserves some credit for how accurate he is.

This is a bad take regarding Bailey. He definitely has a strong arm and he showed it on the slant route that he stuck in there between two defenders that the receiver dropped.

Also, all of his deep throws had touch on them like they should and allowed his receivers to catch them in stride and run.

A 73 yard perrigrine doesn't care whether it was launched with a push or not. Most shot puts don't take to flight in a tight spiral however.

A strong arm to me is like Justin Herbert, Zach Wilson, baker mayfield etc. they aren’t in the same category. That’s not a knock on bailey he throws the ball fine he’s just not a power thrower.

Bailey has always had great touch on his throws.

You would think we’re talking about Nick Stephens arm strength or lack there of. He may not be Derek Carr or Matt Stafford but I don’t see arm strength being a major issue here... perhaps we compare the second play of the game, 1st up QB throws a low ball on WR screen (staple of this O BTW), receiver has to go down and get it then only gains a yard. Take a look at HB with around 13:30 in the 3rd, same screen but leads Hyatt ever so much that he is full speed one step after the catch. I must be missing something from some of the other posters...

The most enjoyable part of the day was listening to CJH after the game when asked his thoughts on the scrimmage. It was a coherent collection of words that were spoken by someone that appears to have a grasp of the English language and is able to communicate lucidly what he was thinking......stunning.

If it’s not a knock I take it that it’s not an issue but you seem to mention it every other post. It’s like going on a blind date and asking your friend if she’s hot and the answer is she’s nice...🤔

Bailey doesn’t have a hose. That’s okay. He is accurate and strong enough to get the ball where it needs to be.

JG had a strong arm. Who cares.

Maurer has all the tools except the in the head.

i just think it matters right now Bc it probably explains why they are trying to push Maurer. They see he has the highest ceiling so they are giving him the first shot to earn it. It’s a win win either way.. if he figures it out and buys in , then we have our most physically talented QB starting... if he can’t then run him off That’s smart. It doesn’t mean they don’t like bailey or Hooker.
