How's it gonna work if these guys are implicated in our investigation? I thought games would be forfeited if they any team plays someone who is deemed ineligible, even after the fact. Can OSU afford that risk since they're always in the national championship hunt?
I think the new school has plausible deniability. If we don't indicate to OSU that there is evidence that he received improper benefits than they aren't on the hook for it. If we continued to play him knowing that he was receiving improper benefits then we would most likely have to forfeit games. I think that's why Gray is playing for Oklahoma now. JMO

Is that to enter or to actually transfer? Not sure, but I think it was @Batman1948 (sorry if wrong) that's been saying May 1st is the deadline to enter and play next year? I have no idea myself.

I believe the date is to simply notify your school that you are leaving. May 1 is the deadline for fall/winter sports and July 1 for spring sports, starting in 2022. This year, the deadline is July 1 for everyone because of the timing of the passing of the rule.

So we need to make sure we tell them and Oky (Gray/Morris) that they received improper benefits and they won't be eligible??? Sweet.

😂 Wasn't sure we were allowed to say that. But I really don't get the "wish them luck" mentality. I am only concerned with the boys in orange.

With what we have been through, you ain’t VFL unless you actually stay your entire eligibility or leave early for the NFL. Eric Gray, HT, any and all who left never wore the orange as far as I’m concerned.

The QB not giving the ball to the sideline ref. It's the little details in this offense. They're taught this to make sure the center judge gets the ball and places it quickly. Such a small thing I never would have noticed, but interesting everything they think about. Hype and staff call it "ball mechanics". Doing everything they can to go fast and gain small advantages.

I need for somebody who wanted Henry T to stay on this team to explain to me in better detail why.

With Bituli by his side - good on a good D (top 30 in total D). Without Bituli by his side - mediocre to bad on a mediocre D (#65). He did not elevate his or the D's play without Bituli. It could be argued he worsened the D's play since he was a leader and play caller.

I get blaming Cornbread, Pruitt, Neids, whoever. But play recognition, getting off blocks, tackling, coverage, etc. are universal activities of any LB in any scheme. Seems to me he could have at least played as well as he did as a freshman due to his own personal effort and development.

He and we needed a fresh start. In my mind we just got an addition by subtraction with him going to Buckeyeville. At least the other guys who did not get to play may have real coaches this time around.
I wanted him to stay bc I feel he is a good player which we need more of right now.... there were reasons for our decline.
1. covid season so younger players weren’t ready
2. No defensive line or linebacker coach
3. We lost several veteran leaders..... warrior,Taylor, Bituli
4. Both linebackers that typically played beside him are learning on the job
5. He still had over 75 tackles and obviously other people like him since he is apparently going to Ohio state.
That being said..... I won’t think another second about him since he is not a Vol.... The only ones that matter are Vols or potential Vols.

I absolutely love that.

I think that would look bad on on us and hurt in the long run. Plus it would open Tennessee up to legal action having to prove it.
And no need for us to ruin any young man's future because we're bitter. Ultimately, they got taken advantage of by the former coaches just like we did. I'm sure they were told "no big deal" and "everyone does it". And being young and stupid (and I mean that nicely), they bought in to what their coaches were selling.

I’ll credit a player who doesn’t see the field and transfers down to play, JMO
