I see you’ve fallen into the trap of listing names and calling this depth.

Number of proven power 5 LBs. Zero. That’s a cause for concern.

Now we were bad there last year so maybe not a big drop off. But putting banks name down don’t make him jerod mayo

They were coached last year by one guy who had never done it before and another who had 1 year of real experience.

Our current LB coach has years of experience at a high level.

In all honesty our LB position isnt in that dire of position. Right now we have Jeremy Banks, Solon Page, possibly return Aaron Beasley, Morven Joseph and Roman Harrison are versatile and could slide inside, Garland. Just add Juwan Mitchell and we should be fine

say we do add Mitchell our depth chart would likely be:
1st team: Jeremy Banks and Juwan Mitchell
2nd team: Aaron Beasley and Solon Page
3rd team: Kuwaze Garland and Shuler
Plug in Morven Joseph and/or Roman Harrison

I am assuming Beasley will be back for fall camp, I think if he were to be dismissed he would’ve been by now
Every single one of those names mentioned is unproven and a possible bust.. On paper we are very weak at the Lb position.

And no need for us to ruin any young man's future because we're bitter. Ultimately, they got taken advantage of by the former coaches just like we did. I'm sure they were told "no big deal" and "everyone does it". And being young and stupid (and I mean that nicely), they bought in to what their coaches were selling.
I think the players should face some punishment for their actions. I think by not shouldering some of the responsibility it encourages them. No reason to do the right thing and say "no". This is not meant to start an argument on whether the players should be paid. If the school can get punished the player should as well IMO. I don't think you should ruin a kids career or anything like that. I just don't think it's fair for the kid to be ineligible at the school he accepted illegal benefits and can move to another school scott free. (And probably get paid again)

Guarantano's career at TN may have been vastly different if he had received more than one off season of competent QB coaching. Tyson Helton probably benefitted him somewhat but the combination of Mike Canales and Chris Weinke were a college career killer.
Never understood why CJP hung on to Weinke so long. It wasn’t like he did anything as QB coach and he sure didn’t light it up as a recruiter. I’m glad JG is gone and hope he finally gets some decent coaching.

Just like a coach that moves on to a different job such as the NFL and leaves the last job and players involved to “face the consequences”. No party involved is innocent and there should be consequences for all. Unfortunately, it’s not the reality we live in.
