I know what is going to happen..We are not going to put up crazy point totals against really good teams with good defenses most of the time..because they are really good teams, and we are not right now.

I would like to see what he can do with top 10-15 talent at most offensive positions though.

I for one am absolutely sick of struggling to score on crap teams..bring on the blowouts of those types, and then we can worry about leveling the playing field on the best.

They went to a Fiesta Bowl before Frost and beat a great Baylor team.

UCF is on a different level than FAU. We'll get to see what Heupel and Kiffin can do against each other on more even footing in a few months.

Seeing as Kiff has a one year head start..it is not going to be on level footing, and the Kiff slurpers on here will be unbearable.

With the state of our defense, and our offense having to learn to go complete 180 from what they did before, and what they were recruited to do...I give Kiff a big edge in that game.

The coach before Frost (George O'Leary) had 4 10-win seasons including a 12-1 season in 2013. The coach before Kiffin went 9-27. I don't agree that Kiffin is a far superior play-caller than Heupel, but UCF is a far better program than FAU so head-to-head results at those two schools are worth little imo.

What was O'Leary's record the two years before Frost?

Pruitt f'n sucked at his job..period. I pulled for him as hard as anybody, but this last year was an absolutely pathetic coaching job all the way around.

Random "cool story, bro," but we were at Kiawah this past week and on the way back onto the island from a short trip we stopped to get ice. My dad was wearing Tennessee colors and the cashier said, "Tennessee! I'm UCF! You stole our AD!" My dad goes, "Yeah, and your coach!" The cashier responded, "You can have him."

We'll see. I think we might be fun to watch, but I'm not booking any tickets for Atlanta anytime soon.

Yeah...typical dumbass fan that doesn't take into account the Covid issues UCF had this year. Frost went undefeated, nothing Heupel ever did after that was going to make them happy.

Anyone that thought Pruitt was anything but a total failure at every aspect of coaching loses any credibility with me when it comes to judging coaches. The guy couldn't manage, he couldn't coach, and he couldn't even cheat, although I don't blame him for the cheating part because that's the norm at his previous stops. At Bama, GA, and FSU is the norm, and out in the open. Unfortunately everyone can't get away with it. There are definitely two sets of rules.

As to his coaching, his past success is all smoke and mirrors. He's really accomplished nothing. He's never been a "guru". He will never be a "guru". His reputation was built on players he purchased.

Mizzou is a train wreck, South Carolina sucks, we will wax Kentucky especially if we have decent QB play. Those are 3 wins right there, then we definitely beat Vanderbilt and the 3 cupcakes. That right there is 7 wins.

I think our ceiling is 8 regular season and our floor is 7 regular season.

This ^ for the most part. Just a game different on each side from my perspective on floor and ceiling.

Floor of 6 if injuries hit. Ceiling of 9 if it all falls into place. 7-8 wins is my expectation. We've got some good first team SEC type players. Need depth for the uptempo system as it also puts the D on the field for more snaps. How that develops and any serious injuries sustained will determine the final result IMO.

As the great Bobby Bowden said as it pertains to coaching, it's 95% the Jommys and Joes the other 5% is coaching. UT hasn't had Jimmys and Joes on an elite level in a long time my friend. The players hv to be in place for any coach to win and look to part. I'm sick of Pruitt this and Pruitt that. If a coach doesn't hv guys he ain't winning any where, and thus why the struggle was real. See a lot of yawl hv tunnel vision but when you tk over a team with no trench monsters it's always going to be hard to win whether it's Tennessee State or University of Tennessee. Lying Lyle left a mess and as I had said all along it was going to take the full 5 years to get to a place of readiness from a roster perspective. Even with Heupel to win he'll need 3-4 years. He lost studs in the shuffle and guys have to be replaced and then stockpiled. Then he lost that last year class with the kids asking out that were next level and was behind the 8ball for this class.

Appreciate all the insight on our beloved Vols. Your group is obviously well connected and have the inside view on things, and appreciate you sharing your unfiltered views and opinions on the board.

Keep them coming, good or bad, hopefully there’s better news on the horizon. Of course would love to hear more dirt on other SEC teams than ours!

If Pruitt wouldn’t have been a stubborn jackass and played ANY Qb other than JG then he could have LITERALLY went 1-9 and fans would’ve been able to swallow it. He made his own bed. He sucked. And I hope Heupel and co. (unwittingly) pay all the recruits top dollar. I want to win at all costs.
