Listen... There are similarities here whether you choose to believe it or not.

The only similarity between Tony Vitello and Lane Kiffin is that they are both young coaches that had premier coaching positions open up while at Tennessee. It begins and ends there. The demeanor and personality of Vitello and Kiffin could not be more different. Vitello preaches family and loyalty, while Joey Freshwater was out there banging co-eds in between games and getting divorced from his wife. Not to mention Vitello never coached at LSU. Kiffin did coach at USC. So, do tell what these other similarities are?

timing is a factor. if alabama was struggling when dabo won his first ACC championship and offered him a job.. he would be gone.
Corbin would have been gone if someone else offered him early too.
Kelly did leave Oregon eventually.
You are guessing on dabo and Corbin….. Kelly went to the nfl bc he got in ncaa trouble.

I miss the time when things were simple or simple on the surface anyway. We can never enjoy the moment without worrying about losing what we've got. It reminds me of a wealthy guy that can't enjoy any of his wealth because he is worried about somebody trying to screw him out of it. I know it is human nature but it just seems it has gotten more prevalent in the past few years but what do I know, its a big day for me to get a new coloring book and have tuna casserole for dinner.

idk man. Hubbs has a reputation of not saying anything until he's 100% on what he's saying.. which is why he gets all the internet explorer levels of late to the party. Basilio just says **** to see what sticks
But you was just over in another thread posting this. So you must have faith in what Basilio says here or you would not have posted this. 1624308714912.png

People have mentioned the Vandy scholarship advantage. Does Stanford have that too? Is it just a private school thing or something else?

That's been my whole thing since I first posted LSU was a scary threat for TV weeks ago. Not going to blame TV either way...but a lot of people seemed ready to blame DW bigly if LSU gets TV. I just think that's BS. LSU baseball is elite. We could very well offer TV the world and it wouldn't matter. It may be out of DW's hands, but some don't want to accept this. Shouldn't be a knock on him if TV wants to go that route. The Matt Campbells of the world are extremely rare.
100% agree, there’s really no blame for anyone involved, it all falls on people in the athletic departments from before that neglected the program for so long. He’s proved he can recruit, develop, and coach here just as well as someone can at LSU or anywhere else for that matter. I would hate it just as much as anyone if he left, but I also wouldn’t blame him for not wanting to wait that long for our facilities and stadium to be up to par.

The argument is made that he should want to build his own program and not follow a hall of famer, but I think that’s just coming from biased people because I don’t think he lacks confidence in his abilities at all to the point where he would be “scared” to live up to expectations that would be placed. Hope he doesn’t read these forums because he could turn us into an LSU type program eventually if he stays
