hmmm.....if a player fails to report as taxable income and is audited by the IRS and deemed to owe back taxes....is that a violation NCAA can nail the university for?
Don't see why the university or ncaa would be parties in this. Just like right now they aren't. The individual/family and IRS.

Here's one: What if, lets say Nike come's up to the number one recruit in the country, who has been to all of their camps and Showcase's and makes a deal . In this deal it includes putting their image on Nike shirts, give's the parents some type of distribution and marketing deal and their handler/ coach/ advisor/ agent a cut as well BUT they must attend a University that has an exclusive contract with Nike. Would this fall inside the parameters of the NIL or is this kind of a gray area. What if instead of say Nike it's a multi million dollar donor ? The box is open and the rules are not really set so the RICH will get MUCH RICHER.......QUICKLY.
From recent articles, deals absolutely cannot be dependent on a player going to a specific school.

Now...how much that can be stretched...yeah who knows.

First off we can discuss things in here. But, I don’t need to be told on what to “advise” people on. Lol. My job profession isn’t to “advise” people on legal matters I am not a “lawyer” having an opinion on how soft this nation and its people have become is a different story.

At no point did I “advise” anything anyways. I gave my opinion on the situation.

Also, since you want to jump into my world and try and tell me what to do let me tell you what I have “advised” my son to do.

1) Never initiate a fight.
2) If someone swings on you, then you defend yourself
3) I will not be mad if things happen in this order.
I'm not soft, and I think the big dude was the puss for bashing dudes face in for a little puss flinch..if dude is really a fighter he knew that guy wasn't swinging.

This makes my point even more clear….you’re average person isn’t going to know who most of these players are and they have very little value apart from the school brand they represent IMO.

Mostly agree, but even if a kid can't use the UT brand directly...that is how they gain followers to begin with...then the followers can be monetized. So, in an indirect way, they can still leverage the UT brand.

Anyone else notice that Heupel is recruiting character guys seemingly? Maybe it’s too small of a sample size but the DL from FL that just committed and our RB from LA are the last two I’ve read pieces on or watched interviews of, and both seem to be very impressive young men. Hoping a good culture is on the horizon

I think HB has a lot of upside and he's finally getting the coaching he needed in Knoxville. But IDT Milton came to UT to sit, so we'll see if he can be an upgrade. The competition should drive them both to get better.
He didn’t go to Michigan to not be developed. Sometimes (more than actually) it’s not about their intentions. He’ll get to compete.

NO!!! We need criminals in order to compete at a high level. This sucks.

I think as of today, it is going to go from McDonald's bags of cash to Corporate Lawyers and brief case's talking with kids and parents that will have no clue what they are getting into except a check. I really think the ones that need the most will be taken advantage of by those who care the least. So often this is how it works and most never have a clue until after the fact.

I think CJH is trying to build a team the right way, on the surface anyhow, that's how it seems. If given a chance I really think he could be very successful just because his systems should be wide open and kids today like that type of scheme, fast paced and high scoring. Defensive football and a run first offense is going the way of the single wing.

We're better off than we have been at QB. We have talent and someone who can develop and coach them. Our best talent is actually going to see the field and be put in a position to succeed. I think this could be one of the bright spots.

I agree Bailey is going to be awesome with this offense. :)

Does anyone have an idea of how many VN members there are? We should gather our frankcoins and give sum them NiL monies to all the 5*s.

Hey @InVOLuntary...you should start building teardrops or other simple mini campers at your shop....The companies that build them charge from $7-10,000 prices for those stripped down little things, something that I know they don't have $2-3,000 in at most...

And they all stay backlogged 6-9 months. If somebody put out a well made model for half to 66% of that price they would still make money on each unit, and absolutely corner the market.
I've looked at similar stuff. It's difficult to make money. Believe it or not, margins are slim. In order to make money you have to make 100's of them. That requires a pretty big facility. Much bigger than mine. Plus it brings in DOT stuff. It would take about 50 of those to equal one of our current products.
